Merging two playable races would be a spaghetti code nightmare, especially when one is from TBC.

They should just add a new neutral Thalassian race that can go both ways, and adds more customization options that can be used by them, Velf and Belf.

Nah they honestly shouldnt. Using that model for a fourth time just isnt exciting. They should really use this time to give players something NEW to play with aka actual fanservice in Ogres, Ethereals or something of that caliber, a new set of animations etc. If a new race is given, this would be a huge waste of spot, especislly since everything that is high elven both already have.

These elven races we have are in need of new costumization options, but thats it imo.

I don't think most noob players/casual fans understand that you can (pretend to) be a Legolas on Alliance using Void Elves. They are going to cut the fat and do something with Vereesa considering they have forbidden her from being used in TWW- everything points to a revamped Quel'dorei coming out for Alliance, and possibly Horde as well.

I still think revamped character creation with races > subraces is the way to go.

Thats a weird problem.. never heard of that and it seems made up. Its clear its there already for a long time. More like a "you" problem.

We know Vereesa will have something to do in the future, cus of some datamining, but everything around high elves, is done through void and blood elves. High elves feel pointless in many ways. Because every other elf does things better. We will see what her quest will be in the future, but thats it for her.

Nothing points towards a new high elven race, that just wishfull. Outside the few snippets of text for Midnight we basically dont know a whole lot.

Ye there was talk about cleaning up the character selection screen and all of that. Put sub races under core races, dwarf-> dark iron, tauren-> high mountain etc.

Blood elves and void elves are in two different factions. They could do that, by giving high elf to both factions and under that core race will be void or blood elf, per faction. But honestly, I just dont see them do this any time soon tho. Would require a complete overhaul if done right.

Because Void elves and blood elves both having THE high elves option there are, it seems even more unlikely to me.

Me too. Its going to happen at some point, Silvermoon getting the focus may actually be the right time to justify re-doing it and finally giving Alliance true high elves. Sorry. I don't want my elf turning purple with procs.

It is very likely the same reason Bob and Thalyssra don't appear, and Arator, and any trolls or forsaken (besides Voss for a second). They are going to get spammed to hell and back in Midnight and they don't want players to get sick of them.

Update the old creature models or update the old mount models?

Creatures yes, mounts no. Mount collection is a big thing for a lot of people. I think best case is to introduce new mounts, but hopefully spread evenly between in game and trading post.

Well, they started to update a bunch of them (kodos, ugly strider things, amani bears) but halfway stopped and instead went with new mounts instead. Which is ok if the thing actually looks different, for a 1:1 update I think replacing is fine, but I get it if people would rather get another +1 instead.

That said, we need HD versions of all the old mounts, and it always sucks when they don't do it for whatever reason.

And yeah, I still think we either need infinite grindable tendies or added them to the store at this point because they keep adding more and more stuff to the trading post, and most of it would have worked exactly as fine as ingame rewards (f.e. the upcoming headless horsemen stuff). Unless they suddenly stop creating new trading post rewards with midnight you will never be able to get everything (and than there is also their shitty decision to re-release old stuff for less tendies during the anniversery which means that most people wasted their tendies compared to some weirdos who hoarded them ....).
