    Question

I thought about the TWW Logo cinematic recently. Did they show us Azeroth cracking up because it will happen at the end (just before midnight, maybe pre-patch event)? Or is that how the world will look like after the worldsoul saga when maybe the sword gets pulled out? Why did they show us something like this specifically for TWW? I can't imagine that was made to just have a "nice looking cinematic" which has nothing to do with the story...

What non-elven characters do you think will play a role in Midnight?

Anduin, Turalyon & Velen 100%. Calia most likely. Thrall & Rokhan for the Amani?

I dunno, he's just wearing the Judgement set, but with flat shoulders (though, i do find them ugly) and slightly different belt.

His hairstyle is a choice, but since that art is a bit weird, it might look better in-game.

We learned that Arator has been rocking tattoos in the pre-TWW novellas, so the main development between then and now is that he removed the sleeves from his Judgment armor.
confirmed by my uncle nitnendo and masahiro samurai

either it gets pulled out or an empowered Iridikron slams itself into Gorribal's hilt like Deathwing was going to do with the Wyrmrest Temple in the Hour of Twilight raid

It was also hinted that it was his sweetheart that did it, so they probably serve a role in that regard as well.

metawise it's a convenient excuse to introduce tats for the thalassians which is very long overdue.

Originally I thought that was purely metaphorical for void winning. Xal narrating, harbinger of dimensius, the planet will be destroyed if corrupted/world soul consumed. Now its looking like the story will be Xal doing that but for herself this time, I imagine the metaphor is the same overall. I don't think the actual planet fracturing will take place this expansion.

I'm hoping we get a preview of the Worldcore for the. 11.2.7 patch. The coreway is finally cleared. We head down and get a look at what we're protecting. Midnight happens however and hopefully as Metzen says when referencing the light making its final stand in Silvermoon against the void, "things don't always go to plan" and she is corrupted/consumed. The planet could then begin to fracture, and that's why we head to Ulduar to call the titans back.

Interestingly I never considered that perhaps this saga ends with Azeroth (the world soul) no longer existing.

    There's a few valid endings.

    1. The worldsoul is defended. Free of cosmic influence and interference.
    2. The world soul is lost, but the planet stabilised.
    3. The world soul is born as a higher being and leaves to explore the cosmos.

There's plenty of different possible story plot beats. Do we work with or against Iridikron? Do we toil in Ulduar and unravel the titan conspiracies to decide the only outcome at a time of peril is to raise Azeroth as the final titan to save us if they all die? Do we release Sargeras at the last minute to help us defend the world soul against Void/Aman'thul/devourer boss number whatever.

But I think one of those 3 endings have to happen. How ballsy are Blizzard going to be I wonder?

A whole planet severely fractured like we see in that cinematic implies a full world revamp cata style at some point, no? Maybe it will happen in TLT or right after, but I suppose it will. Azeroth awakening - like a chick hatching out of the "egg" - and there we have our "last titan".

As much as I don't want to see extreme environmental revamps, I think it could be possible to see the starts of the fracturing if there will be one in Northend. If it happens, it's something we will stabilise. I think they learned from Cataclysm not to go too crazy destroying a lot of what people loved.

I agree, though if the big crack really happens then maybe they would do something with Chromie Time or placing Zidormi all over the planet for us so we can still visit and see the old version of Azeroth. After WSS we would then focus on healing the "wounds" and stabilizing Azeroth.

I wonder if he will hold some sort of reverance amongst the Arathi as Faerin has with the Strom, you know??

Counterpoint to the "don't change things people love" thing, parts like EPL, Stratholme, the barrens fissures and deathwings scars definitely should heal. But no more zone theme changes.

Yeah, some environmental damages, and every structural damage that happened so long ago should have healed by now.

Is it my impression or is all the hype for the trilogy in Midnight? because in my case I'm even more interested than TLT without TLT being of little interest to me.

My theory was that, after Midnight, Blizzard would set him up to become the next Arathi emperor.

    Imagine tho:

Emperor Arator and King Anduin, the ultimate potential leadership duo!

I feel as if Faerin is being prepped to stake that claim? But I could see there being some sort of God Emperor Arator situation, especially if he makes some huge act of heroism in Midnight.

Idk, the golden eyes, the tattoos and whatnot...feels like a potential King Arthur-esc scenario

Faerin being emperor is also a neat idea, but I think she'd be just as adept as a military leader!
