I have a feeling they will drop the final recolor of the "dragon" questing sets, we have yet to get a green one.

Then we go into the dream we get all-new armor.

Honestly Time Rifts were too damn low effort compared to what they could have been. I don't expect more than a skybox change and a filter. Maybe they might want to create a set of mechanics and give them to the upgraded rares so they are actually threatening?

Which set do you mean? I would have assumed the crafted set, but the green one came from the Forbidden reach, so it can't be that one.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting much, but I would have assumed the events would have taken place entirely inside the time rifts, with more focus on the actual worlds.
The world revamp dream will never die!

Zaralek questing, which got recolored to Bronze/Infinite in 10.1.5.

But imagine if the new Night Elf heritage armour takes a completely different direction from what (I assume) most people want. Instead of some cool Warcraft 3-inspired Sentinel set, we get some cutesy Fae-dragon nonsense worn by priests in a temple or something. Eek. Where armour pieces barely fit together, gloves and boots are way too chunky and the helmet is simply goofy (thinking of the Darkshore set).
Why though? At this point being out of touch would be a choice.

    You're probably right.

I also got this feeling that Hearthstone is more faithful to the Warcraft franchise than WoW, which is kinda funny considering all the joke cards and expansions.

It's just a personal fear, because the Night Elf set is something I've been looking forward to. The recent ones for Humans and Orcs were also very anticipated, and seemed like they would have obvious sources of inspiration. But a lot of people find that the Orc one misses the mark completely.

Worgen is another one that have a cool Victorian thing going on, but at the same time all that gold, the top hat, and the fact that it's all designed around the nobility just seems so unecessary. They should probably have kept the Victorian look but instead aimed for something more lowkey, like a Huntsman and his loyal dog out on the moor or something.

I'm looking at this new Undead set, and personally I'm not a fan. It was a chance to feature some cool Lordaeron ancestry, with perhaps a tattered or rustry old set worn since death by the Scourge. But I think it looks more like a mishmash of Forsaken architecture design (fence spikes, coffins, plague vials, etc). What is the practical benefit to dress like that for a race that so clearly remembers its origins and history?

It's crazy that we don't even have a clue what that disk Iridikron used is. Usually a McGuffin is shown right at the start.

Looks like heart of Azeroth to me tbh.

Would be a neat way of reintroducing the 5 headed Dragon.
Erm.... arent they working on bringing back Galakrond?

we already have 2 unavailable night elf sets - huntress Kasparian from ToS and vanilla cinematic armor, introduced in BfA for NPCs.

will they finally give it to the players, give something completely new or both?

Not really. If anything given his now canon size, it wouldn't work. Iridikron wanted his hunger, probably meaning the core of his Void Corruption. Galakrond consumed what was essentially corrupted Azerite.

Given that chromie said it looks like the dragon soul but older it seems like a given that it’s just that but from the war of the incarnates and they didn’t get a chance to use it back then.

The dragon soul was after all just made by goblins and infused with the old gods power so it would fit Iridikron‘s dark bargain.
All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father's kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.

Honestly, I feel we got 4 solid sets with the Darkshore Warfront, with decent looking weapons for some slots (plus mounts and hunter pets for the full theme). I hope whatever they deliver works well with those mogs so we can pick and choose pieces.
I do wont a cosmetic/leather set that could work well for a priestess of Elune though so my Balance druid can pretend.

It could be some Black Empire artifact that inspired Neltharion to craft the Dragon Soul. Maybe someone is trying to capture a bit of the essence of each Old God inside. Galakrond's hunger came from Yog, Xal'atath (the dagger) probably holds N'zoth's essence. There might be some way to grab the rest.

That could work actually, we know from Cho’gall that even dead you can take some of the essence of an old god.

The Forsaken set's combination of the proper color scheme, the proper visual elements (skulls, grave, arrow motif with the spikes) along with the Lordaeronian crest captures probably the last universal thing you had after the Darkshore sets covered most everything else Forsaken. I fear the quest however.
Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.

Tinkers will be the next Class confirmed.

pretty sure it will - human, orc and forsaken look similarly.
and i do hope that the glaive will finally become a 1h sword. only demon hunters can tmog them at the moment, even though they never used it.

I tried to use it but it just looks awful. It does look great when it is just sheathed in the back.

I can absolutely see myself using the belt and the coffin together with the Darkshore gear.
My Forsaken Warlock will still stay in her Elvira mog though.

Kinda hard to reintroduce something that hasn't been introduced, though. I know people keep wanting Chromatus but he's about as likely to appear in game as Med'an at this point. Perhaps even less likely.

Anyway I'm amused at seeing some complaints elsewhere about the Forsaken armor being too edgy. Like, hello, its the Forsaken. "Suffer well," straps and bolts and spikes, cartoonishly evil undead. I get not liking it, that's fair, but to play a race of edgy dark humor zombies and go "no no that's not our aesthetic" while surrounded by burbling cauldrons, tesla coils, Jacob's Ladders, and spikes? Heh.
