Wouldn't it be great of they introduced customization for the main standing & running animations - 3 different.
I believe there are people who don't like playing some races because of their running animation.

No, no, no, pls noooooo. We have had enough artifact power stuff for over 3 expansions now. WoW is fine as it is, we do not need more carrots on sticks.

All good! I guess I was also forgetting that on top of the normal zones, dungeons and raid that delves are certainly here to stay, so I suppose a gameplay feature doesn't have to be that huge. I always liked Order Halls because there was a lot of story and campaign in them, but then again I was taking a break during Legion so I didn't play it live, it could have been a lot worse.

The last time we had "Artifact Power stuff" was BFA.
A proper implementation of an Artifact wouldn't be any more "carrot on sticks" than any type of gear (arguably, less than normal trinkets seeing how you dont have to run Priory 500 times).
I trust current Blizzard to make an Artifact that's bearable but still cool.
I don't expect a new game mode or something similar because we are getting housing. I think races are likely as is a class (if it was up to me, we'd get a spellbreaker/melee arcanist in Midnight and Tinker in TLT)
What I do hope is that they really put some thought into Delves. Firstly we need far better variety than we got in TWW. And then we also need a better companion that also takes into account your class (& maybe spec). Some classes destroy delves, some struggle significantly and you have the follower right there to balance things out.
Also I hope that together with housing they perhaps consider giving us some form of profession talent trees for pre-DF expansions. Not as involved but at least give us the basic conveniences for gathering gains through the talents

Artifact power is a 'Must Do' kind of gameplay system, time and time again people will be burnt out. Sure, the Priory trinket is nice but it's not mandatory to clear the raids/dungeons. Any time we have had 'Must Do' systems they have crashed and burned. Remember people running Maw of Souls a thousand times over? When people got absolutely sick of running Islands every week? I sure remember!

I've seen you spam this in other threads too, and my question is, why?
The game has a million problems when it comes to UI, new player experience and all that, and you're fixated on this garbage.
Why? Just keep that shit in TRP3, stop forcing this nonsense at a time when there is no appetite for this shit.
I don't want to see hunched, muscular orc dudes run around with girl voices and she/her pronouns, why do you? Perhaps it's time for some self reflection.
This isn'tt a single player game where your actions or behavior doesn't impact others. And nobody wants to deal with this shit.

This is a strangely angry comment to make. I completely agree with Cheezits as do a lot of others. You may not want to see a hunched, musucular orc dude run around with girl voices and she/her pronouns, but that may be someone’s idea of a fantasy game character, so there’s no need to insert a strawman argument.
The UI has been actively worked on for the past 2 expansions and is leagues better than it was in Shadowlands. It’s a work in progress and they’re very forward about how it’s going. You’re right about the new player experience, but that’s also something they’ve mentioned they’re addressing. The subject is expansion features, and much like WoD, an extensive character customization overhaul is very worthy of being a box feature whether it interests you in particular on not.
Someone's idea of a fantasy character, actually made me laugh. Whose? Like 5 people globally that desperately need help?
The ridiculousness of it will ruin whatever interest is left in WoW's setting. Not to mention how inappropriate it is for potential younger players.
For sure this is what will get people back to play WoW, it's not like the game is already being ridiculed all over the internet.
My man I think you need to step back and take a breather, because this projection is coming from a place that feels like it has nothing to do with the game.
You can’t make the argument that “WoW isn’t a single player game, your choices impact more people” just for your opinions and not someone else’s.
But your reactions here are coming off incredibly condescending without any discussion possible. You may have different feelings about things in the game, but we’re all lurking on the same WoW speculation forum.

While I don't feel like replying to that particular post, I will note that enabling longer names, swapping voices (which, by the way, you as another player won't hear) and changing pronouns in quest text does not take any asset work that would instead be used on UI, new starting zones, etc. In fact, 2/3 of the things I said are ALREADY in the files. It's already there.
So, if you don't want to see it, too fucking bad, but Blizz already did 66.66% of it so I'm expecting, SPECULATING even, on a customization update. Which, by the way, will include all the fan service shit like troll beards anyway, so.

People like you said the same wrt criticism of Faerin or WoW's storytelling and characterization, and then the Arathi questline hit and the game went viral for all the wrong reasons, turning away millions of players potentially.
Wait until clips of Tauren or Orc dudes running around with girl voices make rounds. That will for sure get us new blood.
I myself am not American, where I come from you don't get to choose your pronouns or change them based on the time of day, you're born with them based on your gender. And so is your voice.
I'm surprised that it's still so hard for you to understand, after all that is happening in the real world, that very few people want to adhere to white, American version of progressivism. You're stuck in a tiny bubble, open your eyes and understand that this game has players from all over the world, all of us coming from different cultures and backgrounds and it's better to leave ideology, be it gender or identity ideology, at the door.

People really getting mad over potential options they won't even have to turn on?
It's hardly projection, WoW is already struggling to get people invested into the story or setting, which is understandable given how they ruined it over these last few years, and I fail to see how having hunched orc dudes run around with girl voices will reverse that. In fact, it will only exacerbate the problem.

Majority of people don't want gender or identity politics shoved into the game. I thought that the outrage against the 9.1.5 patch which also removed genders was a strong indicator, but the message has not reached you yet apparently.
To answer your question specifically, all Marran was missing was a red hat and her shouting "Make Stromgarde great again"
I know that it might be hard for millenials that grew up with young adult novels while living a comfy life in Californian colleges to have ideas that are not rooted in modern day California, but my goodness, there's plenty of good material out there, can we have some actual fiction or ideas that make people care?
Or does Blizz get a boner watching the entire internet trash the game?
