I'm more open to the idea it's not her but there's still unexplainable things like the whispers, audiologs(why would Blizzard go out of their way to say the Ravels whispers arent fully benevolent and more people were hearing them; same as us now), and how Xal literally faked it with the Soul Scribe, Blizzard is definitely making her out to be a major antagonist and she's supposed to be a master manipulator which made me think it's her or could be her I guess.

Man it's been a long time, tbc is when I started playing and the zone just hit different, I like Blizzards new direction so I hope they'll do it justice.

PLaying the new patch... and I thin because the zone is actually worse in quality, details, level design and also asset quality than argus, I think they focused a lot of their resources into the next xpac. Or they have a crazy talent drain. I hope for the good and then it could really be that they have some crazy kick a'ss suprises for midnight
    Zorn | Vynd | Pheraz | Nuramon | Mondlicht | Eis | Blut | Tiranu - Plus 20 more...

    Some schemer she is
Xal is somehow omnipresent enough to mentally trick, simultaneously, a powerful shaman, one of the most gifted living mortal mages, basically Jesus Christ, AND the player character... (And the closed captioning)

...but somehow was unable to beam into Gallywix's mind a big sentient radiance orb telling him not to give the Heart to a random Ethereal within a few seconds. And somehow wasn't aware of it until later.

These people do not think for two seconds.

Take into account that K'aresh was made concurrently with Undermine. We know there was a significant shift in development earlier on in TWW, and we can assume K'aresh was one of the later ideas made to suit the Saga. Add that in with more teams probably shifting to Midnight, yeah it's a little sparse. It'll hold us over I think, but it's certainly not Argus (nor do I think we should have expected it to be).

It wasn't actually. Presumably Azeroth sent Magni visions of a city burning (Dornogal). She slipped into Dalaran to sabotage the preparation to teleport to Khaz Algar and then unleashed the Nerubians and destroyed Dalaran on arrival to hamper our efforts to provide support to the region. We came there to help and she took the opportunity to try and cancel out that help.

We have a CGI trailer and 2 in-game cinematic where the World Soul was shown, calling out directly to Anduin, Magni and Orweyna.
All 3 of which where Azeroth was warning us or directly helping fuck over Xal'ataths plans.

We also know the exact point in the timeline when the Radiant Song started, when Amirdrassil manifested onto Azeroth and connected to the Worldsoul.
Where Azeroth also manifested her power for the first time, empowering the Aspects.

Blizzard has been very direct on who that giant glowing energy ball in those cinematics is and where the Song is coming from.

Do you seriously consider that a possibility?

That Xal'atath, who is explicitly after the Worldsoul, somehow has the power to put Azeroth to sleep (which on its own is ridiculous, because Azeroth has been asleep up until 10.2), something which even the Titans needed an entire planet-wide network of machinery to do, but somehow has to make up a convoluted plan to gain more power so she can gobble her up?
I keep coming back and again have to wonder if people are even playing the game?

Xal'atath outright says in the questline on Karesh that she is the Harbringer but the voice (On Karesh and Azeroth, implied) is the world soul.

He has gilded tattoos on his arms and head. Big WC2 vibes which had me thinking of Helves.

She wants Alleria close to her so that she can seduce her. No point showing her how good of a schemer she is if Alleria is half a planet away.

I kinda hate how those look. They don't feel real nor magical, just sorta weird. Like an odd set of adornment? I don't know. Very uncanny.

ps: It's also in hes neck, it looks like the blood elf starting zone gear color underneath. The green and gold

I get what you mean. Look almost like actual ribbons instead of tattoos.

They are draconic tattoos, he explained that he got them from 'a special someone' in the Alleria short story.

But yeah, they do look more like bands of cloth rather than ink.

I like the head tat design, almost alien looking, but yeah the white is a bit much unless they truly are ribbons.

    ??? What about it?

Her original gambit was getting the Nerubians to rise up and attack the upper, less amenable forces (the Arathi, the Earthen) because they effectively stood in the way of her doing things like draining power from Beledar or easily accessing the Worldsoul. Then as she was starting this plan (getting Ansurek to usurp her mother and empowering the Nerubians with Black Blood, simultaneously making them more obedient to her will) it became clear that Azeroth was warning champions, so she slipped into Dalaran to undermine our efforts to show up and help, by disabling the city defenses so that as soon as we arrived the Nerubians could ambush the city.

I'm very slow but I just realized the dragon tats probably point to it being Salandria.

Okey, I see. Maybe it will look better in game then.

I really can't tell from the art.

And by the way. Blizzard always did twists that just happend without much hinting.

TBC - Kael'thas is back and brought Kil'jaeden to the Sunwell
Wrath - Putress actions at the Wrath Gate, The Argen Tournament
Cata - Benedictus was the leader of the twilight cult
MoP - Garrosh turning on the Horde
WoD - Killrogg aiding the Legion
Legion - Illidan forces the way open to Argus, Illidan killing Xe'ra, the pantheon is already dead
BfA - Sylvanas having a deal with Azhara
Shadowlands - The Soulforge below ICC being a engine to work with Zereth Mortis
DF - Iridikron givin the main ba guy role to Fyrakk for DF

    And there is much more.

See, I think you are the on the right track, but you are looking at it from the completely wrong point of view.

We got sent to Khaz Algar by Azeroth, because Xalatath was there. That's the whole point of Azeroth sending us there, to stop whatever Xalatath is trying to do (corrupting/devouring the World Soul).

The Arathi have been fighting the Nerubians for almost 20 years at this point. There has been conflict without inviting the strongest heroes on Azeroth to your base of operations.
