Not involving the Draenei in the final war between light & void would be like having Malfurion do nothing after the BFA pre-patch."Alleged leak?" It was literally a joke leak. You really think the Midnight cinematic is going to start with a shot of the most ridiculed cinematic in wow history?

I'm not pushing anything. I'm just saying I wouldn't be upset to see that wet paper of a character pass.
Granted that applies to most characters really.
Okay, lemme see characters I actually like (from a writing standpoint)
Genn, Jaina (BfA did a lot of good work for after all the tantrums and drastic changes).
Okay, this is getting really hard.
Voss for how much she matured from her Cataclysm era
Tess, more for the idea than the execution.
I liked Garrosh but he is super dead now. Yes the villain trio of Edwin VanCleef, Garrosh and Nathanos.
Velen will gather his Broken allies and kick some Void ass.

Also Midnight is TBC 3/Legion 2 so it definitely should involve the Draenei in a major way. Their heritage heavily implied they will appear in a big way.
Blood Elves and Draenei started TBC by fighting one another. Blizzard will obviously have them work together in Midnight, just as they did with Worgen and Forsaken in Dragonflight.
He is probably still king on paper. Turalyon is just his regent and now with Mr T out doing his thing in Khaz Algar, Genn is the one effectively leading Stormwind.

Let them finally repair the bloody Exodar. Living in a wreckage is unbecoming of them.

Velen is my fav character in the whole franchise, I hope he features heavily in Midnight, but I think they forgot about him after Legion
I'm still going with the idea i posted here few weeks ago and also on the wow sub that i think the Midnight cinematic will be Velen's vision from Prophet's lesson from years ago, maybe a bit changed here and there. It would really live up to the "truly monumental opening cinematic".
At the very end of the cinematic we could see a fully rendered Velen opening his eyes (like he just had the vision again), looking up at the sky and see it tear open above Silvermoon, with fear on his face knowing his vision is about to come true.

I think the core of the story will be Alleria, Turalyon and Arator, no matter how much we may dislike it. I hope Lor'themar and Thalyssra are the other half of the story. And beyond that I'd expect different groups to appear in different zones.
I expect Farstriders from both factions including Forsaken Dark Rangers who were former Farstriders to be central to the storyline of Eversong Forest or Ghostlands if it is a separate zone. You'd have Halduron and Auric there. I could see Halduron dying a heroic death in the main cinematic explaining why Alleria is suddenly the Ranger General though. It would suck imo.
I would hope we have Rokhan, Talanji and the Torntusks as leads in the Amani area with Talanji trying diplomacy.
I do want a questline were Druids, including Malfurion, and Dragons help the elves replant Thas'alah where Deathholme is, perhaps leading to Blood (and High Elf?) Druids down the line.
And of course we should have Paladins somewhere. Blood Knights should lead with Liadrin, Astalar, Solanar and Salandria but having the Argent Dawn as well as other orders like the Sunwalkers, Prelates and Vindicators join in an army of the Light would work well imo; it would be like the Paladin Order Hall but with Blood Knights leading.
And I'd love a place for elf mages in the story; I would really love to get a Spellblade/Spellbreaker class which both fits Elves of all kinds but also works for so many other races as well and it could work under Rommath, Voren'thal and Aethas.
Also this might be hated but I'd like Blizzard to actually go WOKE with one thing. Create a formal peace between the Elves and the Forest Trolls with provisions that allow the Forest Trolls to make pilgrimages to the sacred lands within Quel'thalas. Maybe this is what leads to Blood Elf druids with the Forest Troll Ancients joining in the defense of the Sunwell and whatever lies beneath and thus Elves gaining a connection with Nalorakk (Guardian), Halazzi (Feral), Jan'alai, Akil'zon and perhaps if they are back, Shadra and Hireek. Dragonhawk themed Moonkin form would rock.
And yes, I'd like the Draenei to be involved. If this is a major fight of the Light, I think the Draenei should be there. Not having Velen in defense of the Sunwell would just be stupid. Plus I see the TBC analogy ready here. I want them to remember all the blood elf characters and it would be a solid time to remember the Draenei as well. Having Velen show up with A'dal and the entirety of Tempest Keep in the skies above Quel'Danas to protect it from the Void would be a proper epic moment. We could even bring Scryers vs Aldor
Turalyon is pretty badass, looks badass and has a cool VA, it's just blizzard not giving him any meaningful storylines and screen time, i think him finally getting some screen time in Midnight just to die quickly would be very stupid and weak writing, just to push alleria or arathor storyline.
Like leave my another dude npc i like alone, enough have been killed to push others storylines already.

Yep, alleged.
Do I think it’s true? No, but it’s worth discussing as there isn’t much else to discuss at the moment.
Until the time someone here comes out and says that they’re behind the image, or until the cinematic reveal at Gamescom then it’ll stay an alleged leak because we don’t know with 100% certainty until evidence points to otherwise.
Alleged, supposed, so-called, professed - whatever flavour of the word you want.
If I’ve missed someone saying they put it together as a joke, then my bad.

idk why the Draenei thing is so contested.
Metzen literally says "we will make our stand with the forces of the Light".
Like what, do you think it's gonna be Gnomes?
