we already have characters like anduin and velen who are "paragons of goodness" but the bigger problem is turyalon isnt that, hes a weak spineless loser who saw his god killed in front of him and just shrugged and went eh okay and Alleria (the main character of the sage) would benifit a TON from the interpersonal drama his death would create with the other characters in the saga
just like how it would have been nice for Ned to live in ASOIF it was also needed for the plot to move forward in an engaging way for him to die and he has a good chance to die saving his son with xalatah specifically going after the people Alleria loves. There wouldn't be a better death for him than that
What's up with this weird obsession for killing Turalyon all of a sudden?
Disregarding your spineless comments, I agree RE: his death, I think it's infinitely preferable than trying to manufacture an about-face so rapid he gets dizzy.
I don't want him to die, I just think it's a more preferable outcome than hitting him with the villain bat when all of his characterisation points to a fundamental incompatibility with a satisfactory path there.
Agreed.

Nathreza Expansion Believer

Sure, that's a possibility but that won't change the player races. If that's the case, all that would mean is the Horde's elves would get a void coat of paint and the Void Elves would get all the Blood options. If they went that route and added a new race it would be neutral like the Earthen.
But if we're going by all the leaks that say the Alliance will get High Elves, people will rage if the Horde gets anything else. Right now, High Elves are simply blue-eyed Blood Elves. If they get more customizations, the Blood Elf players would be angry. If it's Void Elves without the void, then players would be upset if the Horde gets literally anything else, even if it's only Trolls with muscles. People lost their minds when Alliance got cyborg gnomes and the Horde got foxes because it seemed like one had a lot more effort put in them, can you imagine if all the Alliance got was blue-eyed Blood Elves?

One thing I feel will be coming sooner than later will be new neighborhoods on the purchase with real money. The Weekend at Bernie's cadaver that is Everquest 2 sells different houses for real money. I wouldn't be surprised if one becomes part of the Collector's Edition of The Last Tighten.
Like look at this dude, badass looks, badass sword, badass armor and Travis Willingham is a damn good Voice actor, if given actual some screentime like Alleria got since they reappeared, you could easily have some crazy paladin fights and moments.
He might finally get some screentime and action after x expansions, but some groups of people want to have him killed just to fuel Alleria storyline, i will feel nothing with his death but disappointment in that part of the story.

I was a pretty big "Turalyon should turn into an antagonist Light Zealot" guy for a while
... and then we got the Arathi. And the need for that is gone.
I would like to see more Turalyon but I wouldn't be surprised if the one leak is right and he dies to save Alleria. At least its still a heroic end.
What I don't think is likely about that leak is the lack of Sylvanas which is pretty much 100% confirmed now.

nice of u to leave out what happens immediately after where he just accepts Illidans words at face value lol
he didn't even care enough to die fighting Illidan literally takes 1 (one) swing at him and gives up which in warcraft terms is as good as going "eh okay"
but still Turyalons only redeeming quality that any of you have ever mentioned is being a "legacy" character his entire schtick is done better by both Arator and Anduin, there's very little he as a character can still accomplish in the narrative with staying alive where as his death could actually be very good for moving the narrative forward and help deliver payoff to Xal's promise to go after the things Alleria loves
because literally the best moment Turyalon would ever get as a character is getting mortally wounded saving Arator and then having a heart to heart with Alleria telling her to believe in herself
like idk how u ppl are acting like you care about this character when you don't want them to ever be meaningful in the story

And they've been marketing a big feature from it for a year, so there's more to reveal. They are also heavily marketing the expansion reveal which i find interesting.
They are aware this isn't like TWW where they have to announce other expansions to keep people interested.
That leak said they were looking for a new Lich King & sylvanas would obviously stumble into that role.
I don't want Turalyon to die because I want them to break their aversion to romantic storylines in wow. Let's look at our WoW husbandos:
Malfurion: is methodically removed from the plot after War of the Thrones
Nathanos: Stand-in for Sylvanas, including getting killed off
Lorthemar: Courtship & Wedding happen during a timeskip
Derek Proudmore: Disappears after BFA
Thrall: Remember when they kept assuring us there'd be more of him & he never appeared again after the TWW intro questline

"The Death Knights want a new Lich King"... why exactly? So they can have their hunger for violence back and lose their free will? D for DOUBT
