It's incorrect. Metzen was never going to be at Gamescom, though he could make a surprise appearance. The original plan was for there to be the reveal cinematic, and then a youtube video deep dive would be immediately uploaded after with Metzen, Holly and Ion.
For unknown reasons, they cancelled that, and now there will be deep dive panels at Gamescom itself. No Metzen, but no Holly either. But I bet Metzen might show up for the cinematic.
Yeah good point. Plus it fits with the Endwalker parallels.
And since my video recording and editing skills weren't up to the task I shall give my final breakdown of that theory here.
Endwalker - Grand finale of FFXIV's Hydaelin v Zodiak saga
Worldsoul Saga - Grand finale of the first 20 years of WoW
First section of Endwalker
Sharlayan: a Hub city whose inhabitants communicate with the Mothercrystal via the Aitiascope
Labythinthos: Undergound zone under said hub city
End in Garlemald, an Empire that was pretty much destroyed by their own people with a bit of helpful nudge from the Ascians. We ally with some of them against a greater enemy threatening the whole world, Fandaniel, who is assisted by Zenos, the former crown prince of Garlemald who we have killed once already.
The War Within
Dornogal: a hub city whose inhabitants cummunicate with the Worldsoul via the Coreway
Ringing deeps, Hallowfall and Azj-Kahet: Undeground zones under said hub city
Ends in K'aresh a planet that was pretty much destroyed by their own people with a bit of helpful nudge from Xal'atath. Wr ally with Xal and a few initially hostile ethereals against a greater enbemy threatening the whole cosmos, Dimensius, who is assisted by Salhadaar, the former ruler of K'aresh who we have killed once already.
Third section of Endwalker
We go to Elpis a facility ran by the Ancient who once ruled over the planet to discover secrets hidden from us since forever.
What Metzen told us about The Last Titan
We go to Ulduar a facility ran by the Titans who once rules over all the planet to discover secrets hidden from us since forever.
Sounds pretty good. So what about the middle part?
Endwalker:
We go to the moon for an epic confrontation. There are also rabbit people there serving an upstart goddess, Hydaelin.
Also we return to an old region, Thavnair, to fight off cosmic horrors
Midnight:
We return to an old region, Quel'Thalas, to fight off cosmic horrors.
So will we be going to the moon for an epic confrontation and discover rabbit people serving the upstart goddess, Elune?
isn't it more likely that she's staring towards Silvermoon city dimly lit at night?
It's my number 1 as well. I doubt it'll happen because it makes to much sense and Blizzard will wanna add Tinkers for TLT.
I don't see why they can't add 2 in a row (also Spellbreaker would add a mail mana tank mechanic imo which would be unique) but it's never been done before.

Taking this opportunity to throw out the wishlist/predictions before tomorrow begins. Sorry Alanor.
Phase diving 2.0 (light/void)
Weather system, why not
Customizable dynamic ground mounts
Overhaul of racial abilities
Amani troll raid
Seamless loading is beefed up (flying between continents?)
More class/race combos
More story than expected in 11.2.5/.7
ALL elves matter (void, blood, high, night, arcane, undead, red ghosts, even satyrs and the Queen)
Lor'themar Thegone (rip)
sick new voidwalker model
Blizz establishes this xpac as an act 2, not a fresh new plot, and we struggle and desperately fight the whole time and lose at the end
Xal is given proper investment and they don't end her story in Midnight
Throne of tides/seat of the triumvirate in mythic
Elune shows up
Dark Velen & his gunship show up (blasts first, asks questions later)

Here ya go. She looks cute, not gonna lie.

There was actually a Spanish content creator who said that a dev slipped up and told his team that multiple classes were coming during the Saga, all the way back at Blizzcon.
I've been hoping it's true. At the very least, that same creator went on to hype up the Warcraft Direct (which revealed housing) as the biggest development since the start of WoW, so either he made a lucky guess there or had at least enough inside information to know it was going to be huge.
