Obviously not defending the leak here and this is true regardless of it, just want to point out that the press portal is set up for accounts that have early access to certain assets, likely under NDA.

True, it might have been a leak instead of a mistake. My main point remains though; they do not add logos in press kit images. If this was a fake, whoever faked it copied the site assets but did not think the image naming convention properly. I mean these would probably be mobile screen wallpapers not cinematic stills or models

Btw was the preorder thing a mistake or do they just not care as much to encrypt it because we'd basically know already, what do you think?

No reason why this would happen unless someone commanded the AI to do so.

If I ask an AI to draw me a ball and it draws an egg, it's not adding a new shape to the ball beacuse I asked it to. It is just screwing up, and even if I feed it with hundres of images of balls it might still screw up because that's just how gen AI works.

Also, again, look at Turalyon, that's AI face right there.

It's a mobile phone wallpaper... I literally still use the Kalecgos wallpaper on my PC and it has the WoW logo on it. They're advertising.

Furthermore, none of their art styles are even remotely similar, nor does Azshara, a blueish-purple elven woman, look anything even similar in art style to Xal'atath, another blueish-purple woman we've seen legitimate stills of.

There are very little similarities with their existing model formats, but the tl;dr is that they can use more modern techniques that have so far been unavailable in the WoW engine. They also use a new material system that lets them make materials specifically for a model instead of having to rely on a preset amount of ~20 shaders they can use on a material as is the situation now. I talk a bit more about it here.

That was an extremely interesting read even if I didn't understand half of it. I wonder if they would redo the player models again in the future with the model changes.
