Man, seeing Holly Longdale now and comparing it to Metzen back when they announced the World Soul Saga - What a night and day difference in stage presence.
Transmog is free now and also can be set to auto-switch in certain situations.
man, there was at least a very small minority the wanted to play a titan construct like an earthen (me), but there is literally 0 people who wanted harronir. Ethereals, Amani, and even shitty high elves would have been a better choice. I have no idea who thought this was a good idea.

All the marketing hype for a feature-bereft xpac only serves to sharpen disappointment and make it feel like they really didn’t fucking try.
Pig-elves over Ethereals, over anything?

Off all the complaints, I think "elf girl in cinematic didn't make my pp hard" is the most ridiculous.
Honestly I think the reason they didnt go with ethereals is because if i remember right when war within was announced they feel like they hit the critical mass of different race skeletons when it comes to making new gear & because ethereals would be a full race... they'd need a new rig and that just aint happening sadly :/
Its even stranger when u consider ethereals are a fan favorite & we just got their story but instead we are getting a race we basicly know nothing about at launch? or will they be pushed to late into the xpac?
i'm sorry to be a doomer but i'm genuinely underwhelmed. housing aside there is nothing i really like from the announcement
perhaps i treated dragonflight too harshly

I don't really see a clear and coherent theme with the expansion either, looking at this page: https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com.../news/24228402
Like... the zones are:Revamped elf zone, a rooty underground zone, a voidy zone, and Zul'Aman. Right there, there's nothing at all which screams out "continent!". It's zone-hopping like in Cataclysm, only without a magnificent world revamp to back it up.
For a race we've got Haranir, which was sort of relevant last expansion but then completely neglected and left behind both by Blizzard and by players, eager for new races that fit K'aresh or Quel'Thalas.
Then for the features, we... build a house? Track powerful targets on Azeroth with "Prey"?
Class content, we've got... a Demon Hunter spec. Wut? Sure, it's based on the Void but.
A slightly updated lexeling experience for new players.
I said this before, but Blizzard should either go back to 3 Patch Expansions like it was before Shadowlands, or quit the Expansion model entirely, because it's hurting the game in the long run.
People definitely should curtail their expectations, but it's honestly up to Blizzard to deliver on what people want. They did for Wrath, they did for Legion. If the general community is wanting X Y Z and you don't even get Z, that's a misalignment with your playerbase. I mean, Dracthyr? Earthen? Haronwhatever?
All you need to do is be somewhat involved in the community to see a general consensus of races people actually want. Ethereal, Amani Trolls, Ogres, etc. And that's just races, they are misaligned on a lot of other stuff too.
