Why would they not revamp them all? With Quel'thalas the issue was simple; they did NOT have enough zones to work with without upscaling things and that would break continuity. But revamped Northrend will be like WoD, a completely separate instance probably crafted from ground up.

People gotta keep in mind that GTA VI is coming out in May, so Blizzard launching an expansion close to that might not be very smart. And before anyone says anything, every single dev is worried about GTA VI, there's no exceptions.

Assuming Remix dates from PTR are correct, 20th January is pre-patch, both DF/TWW lasted 5 weeks, so 20th February for early access is safest bet.

We will be more sure in Alpha, but they pushed Remix in 2.5 and looks like housing is 2.7 like you said, so I don't think they have any problem with schedule. Otherwise we would have some 2.6 filler patch.

In todays gaming world 2-3 months are eternity, expac hype is gone after season start and tourists leave. Beside, with current patch system they don't have much flexibility with WoW release schedule, they got pretty lucky that GTA VI (if not delayed again) will be in mid-late S1.

That seems reasonable. I guess it does make more sense for Havoc to keep Aldrachi than it does for Vengeance to.

Depends on what it is about. When it comes to class stuff? Yes, that generally elicits a response of some sort, especially as we're going into several Midnight interview/PR rounds.

That leak is still the most interesting thing to come out of this leak season, although it technically came out before it. At least the Jailer thing it was wrongfully attached to got proven as fake (and original versions of the fabricated renders were posted), but that has no relation to the map.

Yeah, that sounds about right. It is however worth noting that it appears housing is launching without neighborhood systems/progression in 11.2.7 but purely as a decorating thing so outside of collecting stuff for that it won't be enough to hold most of the playerbase over. We don't know what the secret gamemode looks like yet, though.

But the vengeance artifact is where Aldrachi lore came from.

Do you think they wouldn't have made the 3 brand new zones if they had more zones to pull from? They could have taken more of the old world to revamp tbh if that was the case imo.

He said "venture to the old world" specifically with Quel'Thalas, IIRC. Hence why there was a lot of hand-wringing about potential time travel before they clarified it.

Ulduar is...in Northrend, lol. I dunno, it feels like the ultimate memberberries continent to me unless there's a very, very good reason to be in Northrend BESIDES Ulduar.

The confrontation with the Titans after everything goes to shit and Illidan and Sargeras likely return feels weird to fit with Northrend of all places, Ulduar aside. I guess Iridikron is draconic. I'm curious how important he'll stay since he was probably pre-WSS planning.

That's not the story they wanted to tell? I am sorry but the moment you touch Lordaeron, the focus leaves the blood elves. Yes I know, Warcraft is populated by Elf fanatics. But if you have zones in Arthas' land, Forsaken and Humans overshadow elves in lore. The Amani are just an interesting side story and the Haranir are nobodies.

They can just change Void Elf racials to let people have their high elf fantasy already . . .

It will probably be reminiscent of the Archon hero talents for priest. In fact, demon hunters now have the same opposite extreme dichotomy that priests have (fel vs void, holy vs shadow).

As a shadow priest main currently, voidweaver is the only acceptable option and I hate that archon and its stupid ass halo bullshit is stronger.

What makes you think that? There seems to be at least two from what I can see. Atal'Aman and maybe the Grudge Pit.

Would have felt much more cohesive to have Rootlands as a patch in TWW and K’aresh as a larger zone in Midnight.

Could have added in Haronir as an Allied Race at the end of TWW and Ethereals as a playable race for Midnight and I think a lot more people would have been happier with this reveal.

let's face it, just as with Artifacts and Class Halls, you cannot come up with equally cool themes and concepts for every class. And Priest is double weird cause it has no idea what it's theme is.

This thread really went some dark places last night eh As expected, people set up unrealistic expectations and they weren't met, they went off lol

I'm very hyped for the 3rd DH spec although a bit disappointed we aren't getting a void themed class. Redesigned Silvermoon is also super hype!

The cinematic felt a bit off though, right? Wasn't their usual style of doing cinematics.

The mounts we get from the Heroic edition also look sick and their summoning animation is amazing.
