Not super enamored with the mage's colors but not bad.
I do wonder if maybe it'll unlock an additional color or two. Like, the Paladin's weapons don't match the color of the paladin's set.
Still, neat!
Also that scepter offhand for mages reminds me of the Kirin Tor styled Aluneth and I so wish we got that, still. What a loss.
That is true, but it just lessens the chance that it would have been made for actual npc's. It still can be, it just makes the chance smaller because it now is already in and has a purpose. There were also red versions datamined so there is that, but not sure if the sets on the post will have multiple color variations.

Nice to see them go all out on the Trading post.
Formerly known as Arafal
Not really interested in the sets, but I like some of the weapons so I'm gonna grab those.
I can see people getting mad hit by FOMO over these.
This month's Trading Post is pretty cool. That transmogrifier toy seems pretty essential too, if you don't have the yak.
Nice that they added a skimpy mog finally, and you don't even have to buy it, it's the reward for getting all the tendies.
I sorta feel like one of the big 10.2 features is gonna be druids for every race.
I know people are convinced the class release order is going least resistance -> most effort. But the asset output has been really strong this whole expansion and if they've been working at it for quite a while, I could see them already having most of the model work done, especially since a lot of the races don't require really out there models like the Zandalari and KT druid forms.
Mountain Lions, standard bears, recolored moonkin and maybe a wolf or boar or something as travel for humans.
Pandaria tigers, Pandas, mantid? (pretty sure that's the same rig arrakoa and zanadalari use) and maybe a crane or something for Pandaren.
A lot of the races could manage with just slightly tweaked existing druid forms with new skins, much like the troll, tauren and worgen forms were spruced up versions of the Night Elf.
The few more complex races, gnomes/mechagnomes, goblins (easy enough to make one set for all three and then do some minor alterations with textures and added bits, the mecha's more high tech, the goblin more janky), undead (obviously decaying animals), something for void elves would really be the only significant effort and that's what... 15ish models? All running on existing skeletons and animation sets.
Well within reason for a major content patch especially if they've been working on them in the background for quite a while.
I agree that they are coming, but probably in 10.2.5 or 10.2.7, when the story about the Emerald Dream is done. This approach is what would make more sense and it is the pattern that they have been following.
Also, I would not see Druids for new races as a new feature. Definitively if that were to be one of the selling points of 10.2 I would be worried.
10.2 cannot be another 10.1.
10.1 is not a bad patch. It is just not enough for the current market. 10.2 needs to be an extremely good patch. I am really excited to see what they have to offer. I have high hopes for this patch, mostly because if it is not good enough DF would take a massive hit at its player retention.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.
Didn't Death Knights become available to all races in the pre-patch to Shadowlands or something like that?
Imho there's a number of ways they could do it.
- With 10.2, because "Nature rallies its champions to protect Life itself".
- After 10.2, because "We've saved the World Tree and it now calls out to all who are willing to defend Life, now and always."
- Leading up to 11.0, because they want to mirror what they did with Death Knights.
I don't see that working out (At least not in DF) because for each race to become Druids would mean having to make a unique model for Bear, Cat, and Moonkin. This would be a big project that would be saved for a new expansion with the primary focus is on Nature/Life.
We've seen only handfuls of it in other expansions (like the Cenarion Expedition in TBC, Val'Sharah in Legion, and Overgrowths happening in Desolace, the Barrens and the Blasted Lands in Cata, and even the Orc Heritage questline) but not as the main theme... Even more so is the fact that when the Mag'har came, they brought with them the Botani from Gorgrond when they crossed the portal and those Botani retreated to the Barrens.
It's not that they don't want to do it, or that it's impossible... but that it needs to make sense.... (Also Druids are in a very awkward place in terms of gameplay right now; at least, from what I've heard.)
If Druids For Everyone happens next patch, it will be generic forms that every race shares and are just "dream" themed without a focus on their racial culture (like the druid forms in Legion). So I don't want it to happen.
Primalists would be the same thing for Shamans.

It would make sense thematically, but I feel there's not enough time between now and them having decided every race will be able to become every class not too long ago. Also: 10.0-10.1 would have been the perfect chance thematically to hand out shaman to all races, but they haven't done so.
So I don't think it fitting the theme is that much of a big deal for them. I'm still thinking shaman > pala > druid in that order.

I was originally one of those thinking Druids with the big patch but thinking on it, I feel like it'd be a good small follow-up patch instead, a sort of "now that (whatever happens in 10.2) is resolved, we can spread our teachings" etc etc.
