And so it begins the final countdown towards meltdown or salvation.
Man, I've been waiting for this for so long. Hell yeah.

10.0.7 release date was ANNOUNCED during the same INFO DUMP as 10.1 announcement.
Really next week we get Roadmap and 10.2? That seems a bit sudden.
To be fair I am pretty pleased if that occurs though I don't really want to waste more time waiting until September to have a clarification I've wanted since the start of this expansion.![]()

Well, I mean I guess we are operating on the same basis as that then.

It does not seem that they are going to announce anything related to 10.2 this week but I would love to be wrong. Might they show a 10.1.7 cinematic, maybe?
At this point I just want to know what 10.2 brings. I am expecting a Timewalking revamp and a new system, probably the Archeology revamp, which obviously has to be way more than just a secondary profession. Account bound reps, the lifting of the transmo gains class restrictions and other quality of life changes could be enough to bring me back to the game, as I have no motivation to play right now. They are just so many good games this year.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.
The entire Blizzard Weekly covers Classic Hardcore this week and not a single mention of any In Dev most likely next week if we follow this logic.

They will probably drop a story cinematic that explains the name of the patch. The fact that the bulk of the patches content is encrypted means that there is little to publicly hype.
It's pretty simple, if 10.2 is October, we will see PTR in next 1-2 weeks, no matter how ready is 10.1.7.
If 10.2 indeed will be early October, it gives room for 10.3 - Season 3 could last from October to March, then it could follow SL schedule (season in March, fated August). But I wouldn't put my money on this after I saw Hallow's End and anniversary stuff in 10.1.7 build.
Oh, and if 10.2 info release will be near, you can bet people like MrGM will start giving hints they know something.
For 10.1 announcement/10.0.7 release date, they happened simultaneously, and content creators basically released YouTube videos/Blizzard articles circulated AT RANDOM on March 8th (Wednesday). "Some streamers" hyped this week up (Week of March 7/8); however, nothing was officially announced for making the announcement from Blizzard.
One could argue that they "may" wait for 10.1.7 to release not to "spoil" the story for 10.2 (through the announcement). Remember, 10.1 was announced BEFORE 10.0.7 released (and 10.0.7 story was encrypted until release, similar to story content for 10.1.7 being encrypted). So, we knew what 10.1 patch was BEFORE 10.0.7 was available to play though.
Also, I am not saying that is "what they will do" (my comments above). I am saying that "one could argue that".
