Does it even matter?
Turalyon and Alleria did not raise him. Vereesa and Rhonin did. THEY are his parents, Alleria and Turalyon are just his biological parents. If this was a human in the real world and not in fantasy land where everyone lives for thousands of years yet still behaves like a teenager, it wouldn't even be up for discussion; the people who raise you to adulthood, who are present for your childhood and guide you through it, they are your parents. If your biological parents ever turn up, you have likely will have some clumsy efforts to establish a relation with them but they will never have parental authority over you. By the time Alleria and Turalyon showed up, Arator had learned to live alone, cook himself a meal, paid taxes, knew how to fight (was a competent enough Paladin to be a companion to the Highlord), probably had sex (though with that hairstyle he might be ace).
Oh btw, this means his actual dad, the man that raised him, was killed by the Horde using a Blood Elf WMD. But hey, that's water under the bridge.
Also he likely had to babysit his bucktooth cousins. Looking at those faces is probably why he is having a crisis of faith.

I doubt it. An excerpt from the upcoming novel hints that, as a half-elf, he ages differently. This explains why he's in his thirties, yet still acts like a teenager. It even describes how he feels more kinship with a ten-year-old squire than with an older paladin like Grayson Shadowbreaker.
He's also close friends with Dagran, who is much younger than him.
you conflate physical maturity with emotional maturity or even social maturity
we even have this in our world as humans. more recent generations take longer to reach the same emotional and social maturity that previous generations had way earlier. While physical maturity actually accelerated.
Here is a quote and link to the chapter.
https://www.amazon.com/Blood-Ties-Wo.../dp/0399594248Although Arator was much older than Winthrop, the years of a half-elf did not keep pace with those of humans. It was one of many challenges bequeathed by his unique parentage. For all Arator’s experience and all he had seen, in many ways, he felt more kinship with the new squire than with his lord knight.
Aside from this being itself a strange retcon (Golden’s own Sylvanas matured like a human until twenty) this raises two burning questions.
One, is Anduin Arator a virgin and will we help him get laid once he’s done solving all ongoing racial and cosmic struggles?
Two, irrespective of the above, does that make him the inverse of those 10k year old anime little girls? “I know I look like a grown man, but mentally I’m a teenage boy.”

Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.
Tinkers will be the next Class confirmed.

You're complaining about someone's twitter post not confirming to your real-life ideas and you're going on long rants online that WoW doesn't have enough macho bara men for you and you hate it. But somehow you're fine to voice these complaints and if anyone counters your tiny, insignificant group, they're a problem in your eyes.
Attack the storyline content all you want, but if you go after people putting this out there and the fact people like different things? Absolutely pathetic. Please just go outside and touch grass. Maybe quit the game while you're at it because you clearly don't enjoy the upcoming content if you're just here to complain about everything.
Somehow midnight's writing feels even more fanfiction tier than tww's and dragonflight's lol. At this point just nuke retail's story and focus only on gameplay.
Hopefully classic+ will have better writers

I fear Quel'thalas and blood elves will get the same treatment as earthen in TWW, where they get overshadowed completely after 1-2 zones and ignored in the main patches, keeping it only as the expansion hub. And I think that's what is going to happen every expansion from now on, where very content patch could work as an standalone expansion for how different the zone, vibes, and story is to the previous one.
