I never only play 1 spec, but i do imagine distinct versions of my character for different specs and make transmog accordingly.
E.g, Priestess of Elune as Holy, self-serving former Twilights Hammer cultist as Shadow.
Or an Attendant of Chi-Ji as Mistweaver vs Shado-Pan Windwalker.
There are some characters for whom i don't do that though, usually classes who's specs overlap too much and i just don't see why i would bother.
Like my Hunters or Warlocks just get the one and done treatment.
I think mages can always headcanon that they learn a new school of magic or they simply focus on one with each spec.
Priests have a big problem with their only dps spec not making much sense to be played alongside holy or on certain races and character RPs. A lightforged priest makes a lot of sense as long as you stay holy and nothing else, for example, or the contrary with Undead.
The priest class was an effort by Blizzard to cram multiple completely disparate themes into one class. While with Paladin they did that as they kept adding orders that should not look alike at all, with Priests it was day one four completely different faiths with only two of them actually represented. Imo they could have offered a solution with Hero Classes, at least giving us a Priestess of Elune (imo, Troll cleric archetypes migth be better fullfilled in other classes) but they didn't. Sentinel MM Hunter or Chosen of Elune Balance Druid feel closer to a Priestess of Elune imo than any version of Priest.

Wonder if they are going to give Devastation Evokers a new Apex Talent. The one we got was suddenly removed.

BTW WoW's 2025 Roadmap was released mid-November if I remember correctly.
Are we one or two weeks away of getting the 2026 one?![]()
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.
It was a bit of both. It made Dragonrage into a better main cooldown, which was needed seeing as it's baseline use is not that impressive, and the existing upgrade is just there to make the Giantkiller Mastery more impactful.
In short, it was a stacking haste buff that increased as Dragonrage existed, which very heavily incentivized keeping the buff rolling for as long as possible. Which would have been amazing in DF, but was kinda boring in the version from TWW onwards where the Dragonrage extensions are capped.
Maybe they will just add it back. But unlike ones like the MM ones which are marked [NYI], the Devoker ones were just flat out removed with the last Alpha build.

The new book Blood Ties leaked and Elf Med'an is a very accurate description for Arator. It also confirms that Genn just takes over for Turalyon ruling Stormwind sometimes and that the people apparently don't like Turalyon now and that Anduin came back and nothing happened at all so Stormwind now has its own version of the Warchief Shuffle
