A community manager's job is literally to go to events to show off the game. There doesn't need to be any news.
To stop getting hyped for things and then being disappointed when they're not the thing you wrongly expected and then complaining about it in the thread, this is a common and sadly increasing cycle in these threads and they're turning moreso into bitterness due to that rather than hype.
If something happens/is released during gamescom this week, yay, but don't get pissy if there's not just because the thread hyped itself up for it.
I wasn't really expecting gamescon to have anything in all honesty. I'm not unhappy though. /popcorn

Are you referring to the tweet from a personal twitter account? That could mean a plethora of things. Meeting up with friends, going to con parties, and yes, something work related they're excited for, still doesn't have to be news. If there is news during the con days (it goes through Sunday) that's great, but definitely don't get hyped just over tweets like that.
Regardless, it's universal code at this point, haha.
*eyes emoji* from Zorbrix means PTR.
*eyes emoji* from a CM means hype news.
*eyes emoji* from a content creator means "I know shit".

Whatever, friend. If you want to be a pragmatist that's fine. I'm here to speculate and get hype.
Also, I've been looking into that "Frontier" thing a bit more. Turns out it's just the name of one of the models, not necessarily the entire kit/related models. Currently connecting the models together to see what truly belongs to that "kit". Right now it appears to be pretty old, predating most of Dragonflight's other models/development. It might have been part of a Dragonflight intro experience/playtest very early on and got scrapped (hence why they're unfinished and untouched since 10.0.0), but further investigation is needed.

I am still expecting a 10.1.7 PTR build this week, although it's probably content locked at this point.
Honestly, it's better to "speculate" on the lore and content of the patches than the "dates". It's just semantics and trying to find patterns. I did all the math already, and clearly it means nothing. So, clearly they don't have a "pattern" for announcing content, it was just an anomoly. However, I think a 10.1.7 cinematic is still certainly in the cards for the week.
Best thing to do is just focus on the lore/future content. Then, when news drops, we can talk about it, instead of hyper focusing on the "when" which is clearly not worth the stress.

It's honestly crazy to me how close we are to encrypted story content in 10.1.7, 10.2 news, Blizzcon, etc. So exciting!
