not the ptr realease, but the actual release. if they are timegating the content of the patch, this probably means that patch 10.2 will probably release after the blizzcon.

As I said yesterday, whether 10.1.7 launches first, or the announcement of 10.2 comes first, as soon as we get one or the other, it's HYPE TRAIN MODE and full steam ahead for speculation, new lore, and HYPE all the way through to Blizzcon, rest of DF, Alpha/Beta for 11.0, and 11.0 launch! I'm SO ready for this!!

I think 10.2 coming out before BlizzCon is pretty much a pipedream at this point anyways unless they skip most if not all of raid testing.

Well yeah. 10.1.7 on Sept 5 + 6 weeks of Heroic ATSC Timewalking rewards would put it Nov 17 for 10.2. Just like last season

Yeah, I'm pretty confident the story of 10.1.7 encrypted stuff must be pretty juicy.

Feeling a bit disappointed, was hoping for a pre- Blizzcon release, with raid opening/RWF happening the week or two weeks right after Blizzcon.

If the content cadence slows down from here on out, DF is gonna feel like a WOD (to me) ~~ cut way too short… *still hoping for something*

To be fair, if 10.1.7 launches September 5, and 10.2 came out AFTER Blizzcon (or before AND after if you look at the patch AND season as two separate components), that is still within the 6-8 week timeframe.

10.1.5 launched July 11, 10.1.7 is launching September 5th. Not sure what people are losing their minds over??

To my knowledge there is only one stage this year so the likelihood of many panels is a bit lower compared to previous years.

WoW is probably the focus this year though unless they show off Survival game. So hopefully we still manage to get at least a few xpac panels after the main presentation.

My point is that 10.1 was likely a one time thing, and 10.2 will follow the same path 10.1.5, as well as 10.1.7 are following (I.E being announced a couple days after the other one launches).

OH, for sure! Yeah, I'm pretty sure 10.1 was an anomaly because of Diablo 4.

Also, maybe the significance of 10.0.7's story to 10.1 wasn't nearly as big of a deal as 10.1.7 to 10.2 might be.

I would think that mythic plus dungeon is in its best state since its introduction and it is a rather solid one. The gearing system though I can't say the same.

They should for sure reduce the number of steps for item types and types of consumables.
- remove whelping crest and aspect crest
- make any upgrade that required whelping crest use drake crest
- make any craft and upgrade that required aspect crest use 3x wyrm crest for each aspect crest it used to cost
- mm+ 16 and above and mythic raid bosses give 3x more wyrm crest than other sources
- merge explorer, adventurer and veteran into adventurer

This way it is clearer what currencies are used for and less counter intuitive what the naming of the items mean

This is a great idea tbh. The new gearing/upgrade system is great, but like you said definitely could use some refining.
