Yeah, people have been losing their minds over the Roadmap ending with 10.2 since it was announced...completely forgetting that it says "2023" at the top.

Possibly, but they can't really reuse that fancy tmog for anything (they want to keep it exclusive to players) and the prior ones haven't been reused. The reason the shop mounts can foreshadow things is because a lot of the time the new models they create for shop mounts are reused as zone mobs down the line (besides the lunar new year ones, though things like the bull rig was used for shadowlands to create new bull mobs)

Or the Diplomat transmog is just an armor set that the developers didn't have a home for.

I might be mistaken, but didn't the developers mention that shop mogs were there for when the developers had a fun idea for a mog that didn't fit any theme?

Wasn't the diplomat mog initially tagged as a Trading Post reward?
Then they just shoved it into the store?

With how many sets they are pushing, and how varied they are, i really don't think we should take them as any sort of indicator.

I hope not, that AI stuff is gross.

That was the case with that siege kodo, as I recall, at the least.

They should hire a narrator voice or something like that. Blizzard is huge and honoring voice actors was always a strong point in its past. I really hope they use real talent.

I think you mean the medivh set. Which was available to purchase in the trading post and then moved to the shop.

Even if a given vanity item is related to the next expansion, it typically ranged from vague hint of a specific segment at the absolute best (Runesaber indicating arcane night elves but betraying absolutely nothing about the other 90% of Legion) to outright misleading at the worst (Sylverian Dreamer and the Sprite Dragon are both extremely Emerald Dream mounts but both just happened to be creatures in zones in totally not ED related expansions).

Short of getting something as absolutely explicit as the KT quest set, there's really not much to latch on to for random transmog sets, especially as vague as nice looking renaissance clothing.

People said that about the Cat for Dragonflight, so if its not the next expansion for all we know its some future expansion, or nothing at all. And the Fish/Rabbit/Rat/Pig are all just Chinese Zodiac mounts, not indicative of any in-game content. (Fish is used interchangeably with the Dragon zodiac)
The Blizzcon polar bear was (correctly) used to predict an arctic zone in the next expansion, so I think there's a very good chance the Cat is used in DF. As it is clearly a magic cat (big glow) it would make the most sense to be in the Dream.

Saying the arctic bear correctly predicted an arctic zone is a bit of a stretch though. Sure there was an arctic zone, but it's not like said arctic zone was all that important in the grand scheme. It could just as easily have been high in a mountain, or part of a dungeon. Or for that matter frost infused bears caused by the primalists.

When this was prior to speculation about what the Dragon Isles could be like, all this meant was that it was very likely a snow part of the world that would lead to likely correlation with the Blue Dragons. It was also used for incorrect speculation we were going back to Northrend.

Similarly to how I don't think the Cat is foreshadowing Cattopia but more than likely some area where a giant magic cat would fit. The Dream is our current best existing option.

No, i mean the diplomat set.

As i remember when the set was made available, it was initially tagged in-game as a trading post reward.
Which made people speculate why it was on the store.

    No thanks.

I'd rather they just use actual voice actors.
Hire a bunch of them to do generic voice over work.

Or implement Immersion into the base UI, finally getting rid of the standard quest box.

Personally i would be highly incentivized to keep my sub active and level new toons often if they added voice acted questing text

I'm with you, I read most of the quests but it gets tedious very fast. They're not badly written but not so well that you want to read them and be amazed.

The UI is fine for a book or a scroll that you would read but when speaking with an NPC, you definitely expect something else.

All the quest from the main campaign should be voiced. It's how it is done in many other games and it is a blast to play through. NPC don't reiterate the same thing, they all participate in the same conversation and you get the four objectives you usually have to accomplish.
    - pick up X items
    - kill X enemies
    - deactivate X beacons
    - kill chieftain

Wow should definitely go into this direction for future expansions, I know I would enjoy it. Like I said, it is a proven concept

I can see 10.3 happening, if it does not come with a new 8+ boss raid.

There's no way they'll release a big raid so close to Fated Season and delay 11.0.

Personally, I think no 10.3 and 11.0 launch in September/October 2024 is the best outcome. I'm so sick of Retail releases so close to holidays...

Even with an October ‘24 release of 11.0, why wouldn’t there be time for 10.3 around March/April? That’s still a 6 month season - two of which could be Fated as I don’t expect a need for both a .5 and .7 patch for the final tier.
And honestly, Aberrus came out in May and I doubt anyone would bemoan it concluding by end of September (5 months).

Chris Metzen // CEO of Blizz — ANYONE ! If you read this, please think of having a proper 10.3 with a new raid (at the least) & some new dailies or some form of daily/weekly content… INSTEAD OF A FATED SEASON.

Fated is so boring and is going to kill the game long-term x_X — please add more content to each expac vs just two major updates :// it hurts the story continuity SO much… — <3 Loregirl126*

DF is the same kind of cadence we've had in Legion plus Legion lasted ~2 years which is their usual benchmark. I don't think we should take the end of SL as a new norm: the fated season in SL was literally a way to retain players during what is usually a big downtime. They had to keep the players left after the losses they had in the expansion. Making this fated season and skipping a tier also allowed them more resources into DF overall. It was mostly the same situation as in WoD where one major patch was cut and Legion arrived sooner than usual (since they could place more resources into it + no fated or else season). The difference between the 2 was storywise which was a bit more polished in SL, it was bad storytelling but it still was instead of WoD in which you had an obvious story gap. The other difference in terms of release was SL with the delay because of work-from-home/COVID.

They sure can change how they release their expansions, especially since DF changed a lot of things in WoW in general. But how they usually time things is quite stable. Again, it COULD change, only Blizz knows about that. My point is that, historically, there's no reason to think it will change.

I can’t wait for the 10.2 announcement/PTR to drop so we can stop talking in circles.
