The one thing that caught me was in the cinematic was that to her, the plan is to break the Titans rule not wipe us out like Fyrakk. If Alex does turn on the Tyr (and the Titans) then this would align with Vyranoths goal of breaking that rule. She even seemed to acknowledge the thank you at the end showing she isnt truly against the "order" dragons.

I feel like you could see the cogwheels turning through her head at the end. Only time will tell I guess!

The Warfronts feature still feels like something they just kinda did as an extra thing, with all the assets they had made for the Barrens, Ashenvale and Arathi Highlands. One Warfront seemingly got scrapped, so they used those assets in WSG instead. I recall an interview where they informed us that like 2 guys were in charge of that feature.

It just felt too random, you know? A supposed battle for the entire planet, yet they only revamped a handful of zones. Why even revamp those zones if it was just meant for those temporary content features, with no additional zone revamps coming over the next 5 years?

Zandalar and Kul Tiras also seem suspiciously similar to a lot of Vanilla zones. So do the Dragon Isles. Heck, they even did a test run to see what Baine would look like in that lush Ohn'ahran plains grass. xD

Even Shadowlands, tbh. First of all they used it to improve some assets, like character customisation options, the fire effect for bonfires, torches, etc., and some other things. But I'm sure the Revendreth assets come in handy for Gilneas and Lordaeron. Ardenweald has a lot of enchanted forest type of assets in it, Maldraxxus practically screams Eastern Plaguelands and Undercity, and so on.
This is all true, but... if perhaps the whole expansion does lead up to a Pirate/Naga expansion.. then maybe they can at least give more lore about those strange giant hermit crab demigods that live in Vashj'ir.

Those things are said to be Ancients but we've only ever seen them in Vashj'ir and they're still one of the biggest mysteries left by Cata's development.

    Well, a few things:

1). Keep in mind that while it may have been several months ago that we, the player, did the quests, the time that passes in game is likely just days.
2). Even if with go with the speculation that Fyrakk/Primalists knew about the “growing World tree” prior to the 10.1.7 cinematic (e.g. the Primalist attack on the Dream in 10.0 campaign and/or the quests at the end of the Plains leveling zone), again, not much “in-game” time has passed from then to now (10.1.7 cinematic).
3). So, my question remains: How did Fyrakk/Primalists find out about the World tree growing, initially and/or by the cinematic, if it was a “secret” between Tyrande, Malfurion, and Merithra?

All of those things have been updated in the past 19 years since WoW's release.
Yes, what you say is true.. Professions went through several revamps from MoP to Legion as is with Talents.. but changing the UI artwork is a bit strange don't you think?

Also, what are you talking about in terms of the game's UI? The game's UI art has been the same since WoW launched.. from the border around the Action Bar to even the mouse cursor. They've been the same ever until they changed the icons in DF's launch... and this isn't anything major, nobody would think anything about it because of minor these things to consider... that's why I'm questioning why something so minor is getting an update after nearly 2 decades? They could've done this in any other expansion and nobody would've cared, but they chose to do it as we're getting closer to the 20th anniversary. It's too coincidental.

A Malfurion subplot that got abandoned because the person who was in charge of the story when that whisper was written was fired for pushing an employee to suicide. So stop bringing it up.

They changed the UI at least once more. Log in classic to see how it used to be.

Nah, it's not Malfurion. It's too easy because he's the only life-oriented character with green eyes, and he has no reason to do it.

I think it's a Lifelands/Dream character and that's the reason it's been prolonged. It could be the Nathrezim agent.

He's the only established character, period, who has green eyes. Not including Lor'themar (Eyes, not eye) and anyone who hasn't been relevant or even mentioned in 4+ expansions. If you're saying it's not a character that's shown up yet, what's the point in even talking about it? Do you think they really wrote a whisper in BFA for a character that wouldn't be introduced until at least 3 years later?

They shuffled around the features, yes. They moved the micro menu and bags to the bottom right of the screen in BFA, yes... but again... as I keep repeating over and over again; artwork and design of the UI has been the same for 19 years. Same as the mouse cursor...

They've never changed it until DF's launch when they completely overhauled the UI. If it was any regular expansion, they wouldn't need to go change the design of everything and could've kept it the same... but this to me says they're revamping the game with each expansion leading up to the big revamp.

Torches whisper from 2016 is just being used now, so yeah.

I doubt they knew who the character was at that point, but they probably planned for a bad life character with green eyes down the line.

That vassal of life quote that Ill'gynoth teased was from the Ny'alotha version of the boss, not the Emerald Nightmare version... By that point, that person was already terminated from the company before that.

But that still raises the question of how the Fyrakk knows about the world tree.

I mean, this quote is from the Puzzle-box of Yogg-Saron, which is ancient. I'm certain it fits Tyrhold:

"Beneath the shadow of the darkened spire, there is no light, no mercy, only void, and the chaos within."

Tyrhold was literally a darkened spire before the expansion began, and it super-duper-literally has void beneath it (Zeralek).

WAIT IS TYRHOLD AN OLD GOD PRISON

Food for thought... if Night Elf and Blood Elf boats are being used in the future, possibly to go to new islands on the backside of Azeroth (and as the factions this time: per the Horde logo on the Belf boats), maybe we are going to get revamps of the TBC islands first?

I don't know why it wouldn't be the Draenei (maybe cus no boats) but I could see Nelf boats going from Azuremyst to the new areas.

This could also be why we're getting a Draenei update now before races that would make a lot more sense given the upcoming nature theme (Trolls and Pandaren). A new Ammen Vale could feature Draenei, Man'ari and Lightforged (and Broken!) together.

We know that Tyrhold is build on top of some old god yogg saron decay soup. Probably not a prison and the Puzzle box surely wasn't talking about that. But its a fun coincidence.

That's what I'm known for. You're wrong 99% of the time, but that 1% feels so damn good.

TBH though, the Tyrhold bit isn't that massive of a reach. Retrofitted by Blizzard? Probably! But wrong? Not necessarily. I can't think of many other towers that fit the description.

Do we know exactly what Tyrhold is for or what it does? I'm thinking of that deep pit in the middle. Haven't really paid much attention to it during the daily content and such. I guess I could just look at Wowpedia, heh.

    *5 minutes later*

Okay, so Uldorous holds the Wellspring of Eternity, which has Azeroth's blood seeping out of it. So it's pretty much a form of the Well of Eternity and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, then?

It also lies right above the Halls of Infusion, which is built upon the ancient wellspring which has the water coming out of it.

So Tyrhold is basically a giant flesh-wound on Azeroth, just seeping out potent world-soul blood to nurture dragon eggs. HMM! I wonder why the Void is drawn to it or extra powerful around it.

WAIT. Is Iridikron's plan to use the Halls of Infusion to - instead - infuse all dragons with the Void, i.e. the essence of Galakrond? Thus angering the Titans at the sight of their "prize" slipping from their grasp.

Bada-boom, final Dragonflight showdown at Tyrhold confirmed.

The snitching of the tree is actually a huge problem with this story as it again is the Narrative Team not showing but just telling of a new event that occurred that has no actual shown event to clarify that scenario.

Most likely the Shandris Feathermoon sequence was supposed to come prior to the Megadungeon but stuff got shifted around. It would explain why both parties (Alexstrasza + Allies/Fyrakk) are aware of the necessity of defending/attacking the new fledgling World Tree.

Makes a lot of sense to me, especially with the context of the explanation of what Shandris is doing unless that is additional context for Fyrakks plan.

Again, I really dislike that this whole plotline is a indescribable mess.

I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.
