    You’re funny.
Yeah, because he engaged in piracy and raiding during Britains various wars at the close of the 18th century. Francis Drake did it as well in the 16th century, yet he is also considered a hero among the British. It was done in an effort to weaken Britain's enemies, and it's part of the reason Britain became a naval power.

State sanctioned piracy is still piracy.

    Just ignore him, it's better.

On topic: I hope they announce 10.2 this week, I can't wait to see new world tree anymore.

I'm like 95% sure we are getting 10.2 announcement this week. 10.1.7 will drop on Tuesday (NA)/Wednesday (EU), then 10.2 will be announced on Thursday (could be Wednesday, but I say Thursday to give each region a chance to do story stuff).

    - - - Updated - - -

Either way, it's going to be a juicy week with 10.1.7 stuff, and especially juicy if we get 10.2 announcement/PTR as well!

Uh there were privateers all over Boralus. Privateers are state-sanctioned pirates.

As for 11.0 speculation, do people really think Blizzard will give us "disconnected zones" such as a bunch of islands to travel between? People complained about the new Cataclysm zones not being connected, and more recently, the Shadowlands zones.

So now the goalposts have been shifted from pirates to privateers. Literally two different things.

    Classic Teriz.

    It was naval themed
Saying it was pirates is like saying cata was Naga themed
We got 1 zone with pirates
Arguably 2 dungeons if you stretch it
    0 raids
    0 world bosses
0 mini games outside of the pirate encounters in the expeditions
1 mount that was pirate themed simply because it was a parrot

I think they will do Argus travel
Either we go to our boat and choose a zone to port in or sail to

Another possibility is using the BfA ships
Yes you could fly between zones or you could just go from port to port for a fee

A privateer was a pirate with papers. As the name suggests, privateers were private individuals commissioned by governments to carry out quasi-military activities. They would sail in privately owned armed ships, robbing merchant vessels and pillaging settlements belonging to a rival country. The most famous of all privateers is probably English admiral Francis Drake, who made a fortune plundering Spanish settlements in the Americas after being granted a privateering commission by Elizabeth I in 1572.

Man, took me a moment to catch up. Am I to understand that anything remotely nautical themed is now pirates? Is that where we're at?

No, where we're at is the fact that a pirate themed expansion would be really no different than BFA. Even down to veering off the course to fight Azshara and an old god.

I’m not going to bother anymore. You’re being purposefully obtuse and several others are commenting on it so it’s just going round in circles as you’re just being extremely pedantic.

If you can’t see the difference between pirates and privateers in a general sense as well as a theme and are so arrogantly entrenched in the ridiculous idea that BfA was a pirate expansion then literally no one in this world can help you.

That’s just Teriz when you have something that goes against his idea.
Even if you use the same evidence that he historically has used to support it.

(Like shop bundles being hints at Dragonflight, but a shop bundle not being hints for next expansion)

Not really. That just means you need a bigger map.

If anything, he's the opposite of pedantic, throwing together all kinds of things that are barely even related and drawing wildly unsupported conclusions, then complaining when others point that out.

The 7th force has to be destruction
For simplicity let's say it's "the empty"
Big difference between that and the void is the void is like a disease spreading and claiming everything while the empty is nothingness

The empty is not a part of the cycle created by the first ones because there is nothing there.

The empty wants our world because Azeroth is seemingly a very special titan possibly a being of pure creation which much like the light opposite the void the empty would be opposite creation

Or how the steamscale is a hint at tinkers not dragons because it's mechanical

I think it was 10.0 leak season he was arguing with me because we agreed the bundle meant dragons next expansion but I said we wouldn't play dragons or something

Destruction is an aspect of the current design. The 7th power imo has to be something completely unknown to us.

    - - - Updated - - -

You need a different map to chart out that power.
    Breaking something down is yes
But true destruction is to reduce something to nothing
Nowhere in the cycle is that a thing
Everything is made of something else and when something dies or is destroyed there's still something left

    "Empty" is nothing
Kill Argus? He went to the SL
The empty takes Argus? He's gone
    Not to feed a plan
Not to be used as fuel
    Just gone

Think the circle of life from lion king but the empty comes in and removes the lion
    No dead lions no grass
    No grass no caribou
No caribou no food for lions

I never said that Kul'tiras was full of pirates. I'm saying that in a pirate expansion, an allied pirate group are going to be no different than Kul'tirans. Which is why I challenged anyone to explain how a pirate hub for the player would be any different than the non-drustvar areas of Kul'tiras. No one has answered yet.

It was far more than the shop bundle that hinted towards Dragonflight. Also I'm not aware of their being a pirate pack available in the Blizzard store.

Kul Tiras is a cold water port with, just let me remember...

    Stormsong Valley:

Grand, sweeping plains for farming, very few trees
An eternally storm-drenched alter to dark gods
A muddy, drained floodplain, bringing to mind typically places in Europe
    That whole Quillboar area

    Tiragarde Sound:

Let's firstly just start with 'cold'. Not as snowy as the mountains of Drustvar, but there are frequent areas that are clearly just cold
Trees that you see in, y'know, a cold enviroment, complete with logging industry
Industry's another big hit on this one as there's a lot of it around. There's not all that much just wilderness, with roads connecting everywhere and the
Speaking of, the city and towns themselves are clearly old, built of stone and weathered centuries. Not necessarily the case for Hypothetical Pirate Expansion

A tropical island and pirate themed expansion is going to be closer to Stranglethorn or Zuldazar if you're going to pull the 'Close to another zone' card

You're just describing what happens when fel destroys things.
