I mean, people have been saying "Oh, it's going to be next week!" for the last month or so.

Well, I did always bet on reveal being after incoming patch release, as it usually has been. We rather had "ZOMG GEMESCUM REVEALE???" crowd that was the loudest.

Avaloren and Khaz Algar seem intentional foreshadowing as they are the first things you literally saw in prepatch, before even going to the Isles. Azshara and Nightsquall are more soft foreshadowing for things that may eventually happen, though if Azshara is on the new Void Council she'll appear soon enough.

I do wonder where her new base of operations is. Do we know the canon status of Nazjatar?

We've gotten nothing on Nazjatar but... I wouldn't say no if they tried to do more justice to the lore.

For sure. I wouldn't be surprised if it came tomorrow. Does it really matter? We have SO MUCH story to digest in 10.1.7. Either 10.2 PTR/announcement comes on Thursday this week, or it doesn't. Enjoy 10.1.7!

And Xe'ra isn't dead: She's just in pieces. She was also in pieces when we first found her.

Well, yes, but the core was safe and sound and intact with us on Azeroth. The core which we brought with us to restore X'era. As far as we know, every part of the naaru was blown to bits by Illidan, including its core. So while it is possible that Xe'ra might not be dead, restoring her certainly isn't going to happen in the same way it happened before.

There is quite a huge difference between the dismantled state we found her in, where all her pieces were fully intact, and her getting obliterated by Illidan, leaving us to collect her crystal dust from the floor.

Considering they are a whole model change, I doubt they would be a barber shop option. If it ends like the Orc quest (we're bringing everyone to Azeroth) then we may see an AR soon.
