It's a trope, and tropes are fine. It sounds more like a Shakespearian family drama thing to me LOL.

The former princess of Lordaeron's lost child becoming her sworn enemy (and for seemingly understandable reasons if she really just thought the kid was dead) sounds pretty cool and like a refreshed Scarlet vs Forsaken beef to me.

Secret long lost child is like, the top 3 stereotypical soap opera plots, after "evil twin" and "amnesia."

I'm seeing this thing WoW keeps doing where it feels it needs to "reignite" conflicts that were never resolved in the first place: They never gave us a real conclusion, just premises for storylines, over & over again. The Priest Order hall literally has a storyline where you kill all the remaining "hateful" Scarlets & establish a new order that loves the forsaken. Did they just forget about that?

The funniest thing to me is that the timeskip between the Forsaken Reclamation quest (SL) and the Heritage quest (DF) will be five years, but they expect new players to do both quests back to back.

Are they going to point out the time jump at all? Will there be any progress to Undercity's reclamation???

I think it's more about how the Scarlet stuff is tired and boring if there's nothing new to spice it up. Rahhh we want Lordaeron we hate Forsaken we Crazy for almost 20 IRL years? There needs to be a little more to it if it's going to keep happening.

Ironically, counter to your point, they JUST ended the Defias storyline for good because it was silly to keep it going (and are now pivoting to Players/Commoners/Good Nobles vs Evil Nobles instead). So unless the Scarlet stuff is formally finished in the heritage quest they definitely have something in mind for them.

Looking at the Nelf quests again, it sounds like it may be about cleaning the Satyr out of North Kalimdor?

    The Scarlets will come back
The fake prince will be revealed to be either a pawn of a black dragon or a dragon himself
Calia will reveal her daughter was Taelia
Didn't say anything to protect her because she doesn't see herself as her mother after all these years and believes she'd hate her
Taelia says she loves her mommy
Bolvar and the death knights help fight the Scarlets
The Forsaken realize it is Time to stop playing the edgy outcasts because it's better to be rejected by the living than to reject themselves

This would be the funniest option; because it means Bolvar was the Footman who was her 'one true love' but she apparently didn't know his name because she treats Bolvar like a stranger in Shadowlands.

I'm thinking it will be a Nathrezim thing, as they are still working.

Bolvar/Taelia being Calia's husband/child would be absolutely insane after SL. Part of me thinks they put them together to hint that that WASN'T the case. We got new Calia lore at around the same time as new Bolvar lore and Taelia's introduction, which made people think they were tied, but in reality they may have just been setting up Calia's storyline super early. (Scarlet resurgence was hinted at in BFA, four years ahead of time)

I still think it's a shame. It comes at the expense of moral nuance to have everybody with a point on the same side instead of having a conflict where every side are frothingly misguided and can be sensibly justified in their own minds.

To be fair, Velen is known to be a little more forgiving than the night elves.

Well if the new Stormwind plot actually amounts to a new questline, we don't know who will be on the Evil Noble side. I think it will be more colorful than that. Syndicate, Alterac, Turalyon and Shaw, who knows?

But the Defias beef stretching out to Cata through a secret daughter (!!) was already pretty flimsy IMO. The Defias still beefing post-BFA would've been paper thin.

Based on the youtube video spoiling some of the quests, it looks like its just a certain group of Man'ari Eredar that will join us. To the point we are helping a certain one fight against other Man'ari calling him a traitor.

So, like any other character lul. Shes dead for now, until they want to use her again for something. That basically applies to every character who ever died in this game.

Dragonflight has received positive feedback since launch, the biggest issues are the renown-gated questlines in Launch, MSQ being boring/predictable and some lore complaints. When that's your biggest problem you know the game itself is in a good state.

Legion was a great expansion but the broken shore patch was abysmal and my guild lost a lot of players during this time.

BfA was a horrific expansion, the farming every patch was just too much, SL excelled at removing the farming and I'm glad they've kept this trend with DF.
