They mentioned in an interview if you fly to the edges of the zone including to the east it gets foggy and you fall asleep. We're "guests" in a small part of the dream.

That Mr gm interview is telling

They considered fractures in time a major content update and have said 10.2 isn't the last major content update....maybe there is no 10.3

Apparently, the leader of the Druids of the Flame is Fandral Staghelm Wait, no--no. I'm just hearing reports that it's actually "Tandral Sageswift."

My bad. I am being assured that this Tandral Sageswift figure is most decidedly NOT Fandral Staghelm wearing a mustache from the costume shop.

They're treating it as a separate zone, so there is definitely a transition point somewhere, portal or not -- we'll find out later tonight.

10.2.5 could have a lot of story and then 10.2.7 could be Fated season.
But I still think Iridikron is meant to be the final villain of this expac.

So I know this question about allied races gets asked pretty much everytime, but I find hes answer a bit off.

''No Allied Races are coming in Patch 10.2, but it's something the team is keeping in mind when they introduce new cultures.''

I don't think new cultures is really what people are looking into, it's mostly about cool excisting options that are already there. Maybe I am reading to much into it, but that is just weird answer. There are so many options still..

Also, this was the perfect time to add maybe 1 or 2 new races who could be druid, just to start it off with. again something people have been asking for, but they wont let you do that in the literal ED patch. Just a no, but you can do other druid things. ok.

''The team has been looking to increase the diversity of race and class combinations.''
''There are not new Druid classes coming in Patch 10.2, but there are new Druid things.''

You could have made this patch so much juicier imo.

Void Elves are High Elves (some of whom called themselves Blood Elves at one point). Some of them have undergone a ritual to alter their physical forms with the powers of the Void. But they're still High Elves.

They have plenty of unique distinction for players who seek it, and they have (some) similarities for players who prefer that. Whichever way players go, it doesn't harm you.
    Dude, no....

DID and vanilla dwarves are both dwarves, Draenie and LFD are all Draenie. Does that mean they need to share all options????? Of course not....

What's the point of being separate races then???

There is enough of same options between velves and belves, they don't need to keep getting the same options...

What velves need are more void options, like a freaking nzoth eye on their forehead or something or like a tentacle arm, not copying w/e belves get....

Imagine belves wanted all the void options velves had, ffs...

Idk what made you expect that, lol.
    That isn't gonna happen.

It's gonna be a Nordrassil/Heart of the Forest sized tree, not another Teldrassil.

Also, the tree is part of the zone.
As you can see the tree in the previews.

Likely covering this large, rounded, elevated spot in the middle of zone.

The Raid beginns at the temple, then has you fly through the zone in that Dragonriding encounter and then the raid ends at Amirdrassil with Fyrakk.

Eh yes and the zone is NOT on Azeroth, it is in the Emerald Dream. It will be moved to Azeroth, somewhere.

Not this fated nonsense.Honestly, I can't say it'd be better than what we got, but saying this is just a lack of imagination. Nothing should stop them from making varied zones & cultures.

    Emerald Dream:
    • Dream Hyjal - Mountain Biome, Dragons guard the spires against otherworldly invaders including Void entities & Ancient demons.
    • Dream Suramar - River Biome, two ideological camps of Mushroom People fight a civil war
    • Dream Scholazar - Tropical Biome, New versions of existing creatures on azeroth get rallied to fight the Druids of the Flame
    • Dream Qiraj - Desert Biome, Cactus people try to emulate the visitors from the material plane, form cities
    • Dream Tundra - Tundra Biome, Furlords, primodial furblogs test adventurers if they're worthy of their assistance

Old God World: I would build it up like Dark Souls 2, where you travel down into the Abyss, where time does not exist; so you get to visit all these places that were fully consumed by the void, but you get to see them at their height, right before they fell.
    • Ahn'Mefir - Last haven of the Aqir, a brutal hierarchy that revolves around slavery & worship of the Old Gods
    • Morthen - An alien world that mastered space travel before they were consumed from within by corruption
    • Uldorus - A twisted imitation of a Titan Facility; the Old Gods have attempted to learn everything about the Titans by imitating their techniques.
    • Showli - A world much like azeroth experiencing a lasting peace but was destroyed by visitors from the deep; relive their final days.
    • Vestige of the Black Empire - The throne of the Old Gods. Here the old gods function in perfect harmony, projecting endless nightmares into the universe
It's not imagination that is the limiting problem, if it was you could make an expansion based on anything. You could make an entire expansion set in Suramar specifically, with one zone as the zoo, one as the sewers, one as the vineyards, one as the residential zone, one as the industrial zone, etc. But you don't, because that would be really boring after a while.

Making a full mockup of an expansion is easy. Living with it for two years is the hard bit.

The zone is in the dream version of the crater in Ohn'ahran, I have to assume it moving to the real world would put it in the same place, no halfway around the world or something.

Yeah, lorewise it should just pop up in Non-Dream Ohn'nahran, but gamewise... unless the Dream is behind a loading screen, they couldn't overlay the zones like that could they?

Oh okay, now I see it. IDK I think it will be bigger than that when it's finalized. As currently it doesn't make for much of a home.

Green mist seems like the likely possibility for me at least. You start by actually going through the portal, and then get assured that you can fly there normally.

Or of course, maybe it's just the portal. Possibly with one more in Lunadane and another further north so it works more like what we have with Zaralek and it's three entrances.

There IS a spot for a portal in Valdrakken (in the green enclave, right above the bank) so portals/instances are looking possible.

Kinda confused here - is 10.2 not the last major/raid patch then?
Not seeing anything pointing to it being the last.

Unless 10.3 is iridikon coming back from wherever he went.

Technically they could with terrain phasing (e.g. how the sword Silithus phase is overlaid on top of regular Silithus), but lore-wise idk what they're going to go for.

You could have made this patch so much juicier imo.
You have to remember that patches are deliberately being made smaller so that you have more content to parse out in the minor ones.
10.1 could have had the Eons Fringe dailies and the Mega dungeon, but that would mean more months of nothing.

Lets not fucking kid ourselves, the part of the dream we are going to is literally that exact place but just the mirrored Dream version of it.
They even kept the shape of the mountains and the surrounding landscape identical.

Where the fuck else would it be other than the very very obvious spot?
