Not a fan of universal legendaries. Prefer class legendaries, or at least leggos shared by a handful of classes, like smourn.

Druid (obviously) Maybe a headpiece, maybe a weapon
Monk (unlikely since its monk, but would make sense if celestial themed)
    Druid+Monk agility staff
Healer weapon or trinket (also unlikely since evokers already have a weapon)
Mage (because i could totally see blizzard ignoring everything that makes sense)
I hope it's not a weapon, i got my food pouch smacked on that.

Evokers don't have an off-hand that pairs with Triumphant Roar, so maybe that.
Every raid so far has had one Evoker specific weapon, so I wonder whether this one will have one as well.

Universal legendaries work when they take a significant amount of time to get, which is not exactly how the game usually does these things anymore. I also have an especially hard time imagining a world in which the legendary isnt a permanent fixture of the remaining expansion. I would for instance be quite annoyed if Nasz'uro stops being BiS for Evokers, even if that means drastically increasing drop chance to ensure every Evoker gets to have it.

I just hope they won't waste entire concept of Emerald Dream on a single patch, just like Argus and Ny'alotha (even worse, since it's just a raid).

It isn't a single patch. It's a patch, two raids, a whole questing zone, a small vanilla zone and more than one quest chain/scenario.

It's not the first time we go there anyway, so at this point they actually can't waste the concept on a single patch.

    It's almost time!

I hope they reintroduce some familiar characters from the past once we're in the Dream. If we could meet dead characters in the resting part of the cycle in Ardenweald, then surely... ?

It's difficult to stretch over an entire expansion in a way that doesn't lead to having to pad it out.

Argus may have worked as two patches if you go for one in Eredath with void, and one in the Antoran Wastes with Antirust proper. But that would also mean you have one patch that looks nothing like what you would expect from Argus.

Ny'alotha could have been a full zone maybe, but definitely not a whole expansion. The mind bending antics of the Old Gods would have gotten stale after a while, and unless you go for the time travelling angle back to the Black Empire you wouldn't get much in the way of variety with the elementals either.

The Dream is also one where you have the green areas, and (prior to this) the Nightmare areas. And while they are very distinct from each other, they don't offer much in the way of variety in storytelling. It's either nature, or corrupted nature.
And sure, you could have different biomes, a mountain, or a mushroom zone, or even one that is underwater. But you would still have to sustain the playerbase on stories centered around the Dream for the full two years of an expansion, which doesn't seem all that realistic.

In short. Areas like Argus or Ny'alotha don't become full expansions because it's much easier to slowly immerse players into the theme. Let them get nice and comfortable with the Azeroth equivalent, before going fully into it for the explosive finale.

Does make sense given Undermine is the main hub at all, but I didn't expect the Naga resurgence stealing the armada of Nightsquall.

    • New Raid - Defense of Amirdrassil: Starts with us breaking the siege at the roots, then we going inside the tree with Fyrakk at the heart as final boss
    • Druid legendary; But more likely something similar to the cloaks because I doubt that they'll put that kind of emphasis to it if it's class specific
    • New instanced content like Horrific Visions and Torghast, but they will advertise it as being more like the Mage Tower and as not crucial to player power
    • Faerie Dragon/Chimaera Dragonriding mount
    • Merithra focused questline where she learns to let go of Ysera(but Ysera does not return to Ardenweald until a later patch)
    • A better explanation as to what the Emerald Dream actually is

    For 10.3.0(If there's one):
    • Iridikron and the Harbinger go to Avaloren to use the Titan Facility there(Uldaz) and make allies with the heretics
    • Reforged Tyr leads the charge; Alexstrasza starts to learn more about the real history of the Titans and breaks away from them
    • Tyr gets paranoid after remembering the vision of Alexstrasza being corrupted by the void and turns against us
    • While we are distracted by this conflict, Iridikron and the Harbinger succeeds in plan which leads us to the next expansion
    10.2:
    • New Zone - Ohn'aran Dream: Emerald Dream, but only the Ohn'naran Plains. Will be lush & vibrant with Amirdrassil in the open spot next to the dream portal.
    • New Raid - Defense of Amirdrassil: More or less same idea you have. Start from the outside, go all around the tree eliminating threats, then fight Fyrakk at the end.
    • New Legendary - Heart of the Dream: A necklace that all classes can wear, works similar to Heart of Azeroth with minor talents
    • New M+ Pool - Includes Darkheart Thicket, plus both of the Dawn of the Infinite dungeons. Small chance of the Well of Eternity dungeon, but less likely.
    • Dragonriding unlocked in Kalimdor & EK
    • Merithra takes charge, Ysera dies. Malf trapped in Ardenweald.

Also, this may be the last raid of Dragonflight. Not because they are cutting out early or anything, but we're kind of out of enemies to fight for this expansion after Fyrakk is done. Iridikron is gone, Vyranoth seems to be working with us, Murozond seems to be little more than a memory. There's not really a ton of loose ends left for the dragonflights at this point unless something crazy happens. If we do get a raid, it may be similar to the dungeon at the end of Legion in that it's more of an intro to what is to come.

Well, yeah, I mean we have had various glimpses at Emerald Dream, but never as a fully-fledged product. Whenever I get something like Invasions from Argus with a chance to get a look at different places, it feels like a cheap product. Emerald Dream as we have seen it, especially re-imagined multiple times, gives me the same vibes as Invasions. Not saying these places were not cool. It's just that Emerald Dream seems to be an important part of WoW story, and I believe it could be a great thing to see in a grand expansion-wide scope. After all, Shadowlands were re-imagined from the "ghostly realm" to all these zones we have got, to make them interesting and truly beautiful. I see no reason for which they could not do the same with Emerald Dream. It also has a lot more magical and fantasy feel to it, than the brand-new concept of "Cosmic Domain of Life".

Tyr reappearing and finally paying off the foreshadowing that he isn't all that he is cracked up to be is still in the books. Even more so now that Vyranoth is seemingly on the side of the Aspects.

Tyr reappears, attempts to do something or other to Dragon eggs, Alexstrasza stops him, Tyr decides the Dragon experiment has failed and goes to make Dragons 3.0 by infusing eggs with Order magic. Queue final raid.

They reveal that the Emerald Dream is actually Goblins dreaming about money.

Yeah the only other antagonist is the Decatriarch, otherwise 10.3 would need a Keeper/Titan/Watcher antagonist.

That could be interesting, especially given what that would mean for Paladins as well as for the flights themselves. Would they join with Tyr or go in another direction?

My only concern there is I'm not entirely sure how that comes up on it's own as fallout from what we seemingly are getting in 10.2. That feels to me like a good thread to put in to an 11.0 Titan/Light/Void style expansion.

I'm in the basecamp of Mount I-want-legendary-to-be-a-weapon-manjaro.

Weapons always feel meaningful and iconic. The cloaks were fun to look at but at the end of the day they were just procs weren't they?
And the rings.. I can't even remember what the WoD rings did.
