Interesting that they went with a full 6 old dungeons this round.

I wonder if the optional bosses in Everbloom and Throne will be mandatory.

Ohhh the Vault will give you gear even if you only do Heroics or Mythic 0.

    Good change IMO.

Only active while in Uldaman, Ulduar, Uldum, Uldir, Uldorus (Halls of Infusion), and Uldaz.

We still have Uldaz to discover. But there is no "titans" dungeons in the S3 pool.

I'd prefer an extension of Uldorus to be honest. I don't think it would be wise for Blizz to blitz through Khaz Algar or Avaloren when they could be used in future. Same with Uldaz. We haven't seen much of Uldorus, just the Halls of Infusion.

A titanic city as a world zone could be fun.

Its a good choice of dungeons too. Most fit the Druidic theme, and most of them are very fun dungeons.

I'm even less hype now. If it was going to be for 11.0 he'd just say "no comment." When Ion starts talking about a real problem he means he'll deal with it in 3 to 4 expansion from now.

Because those stat itemizations were just supposed to be a time-related joke.

all praise to Elune, those moonkins are amazing. took them 20 years but the result is great.
even better if the mentioned "moonkin culture" actually exists in the Dream, and we don't beat the shit out of them. they made one old meme into reality with the stone cairn moonkin - what about the pyromaniac boomkin? edgelord red-and-black doomkin? alcoholic gambler oomkin?
the first one seems to be real - it has a burning exploding mushroom.

Interesting that Ion said they planned for an Old God expansion before but it got canned because it wouldn't be varied enough. Guess this means we're never getting Black Empire?

    that Demon hunter helmet though.
Red crane for monk is interesting considering it's the only one without a spec

They had always been a side threath of patch contents and it seems that they will remain in that way. Not necessarily something bad IMO.

Ion's interview gives me hope for a world revamp in 11.0. If they do a world revamp, what better moment than in the 30th anniversary of Warcraft?

Someone mentioned an AOTC mount for Fyrakk? Did they mean his mythic fire owl? Cuz if so then that's further proof that 10.2 isn't final without an AOTC mount.

AOTC is the Shadowflame version of Fyrakk, with regular Fyrakk dropping from all difficulties. Mythic is the Owl.

So yes, 10.2 does have an AOTC mount.

Regular fire Fyrakk mount similar to the Razsageth and Sarkareth mounts. Void Fyrakk from AotC. And a fire owl from Mythic Fyrakk.

    So three mounts in total.
The world revamp dream will never die!

Normal Fyrakk will be a random drop, shadowflame one for AOTC and the owl for Mythic.

Red crane has been part of mistweaver since the beginning.I've seen mixed feeling about that set, but i actually like it. It's so annoying if a class has speccs with very different aestetics but keeps repeating the same thing over and over. For the ones that prefer the ww/bm style there are like 20 set's to choose from.

The comments about the Brawlers Guild, comments on a revamp, and hints at this being the last zone patch are making me think 11.0 revamp reveal is increasingly likely.

It makes too much sense to go from saving the tree to the tree blooming. If the tree doesn't bloom, there was no point to this whole Nelf plotline. But it's not blooming in 10.2, and probably isn't the focus of a 10.3 (too repetitive of a theme), so it would have to bloom in 11.0 or later.

They also specifically mention how much they want to reuse old areas since they are more iconic, which is getting more true the longer we go without a revamp.
This is the first time I recall hearing a WoW dev publicly comment on a revamp, which the exception of Preach's interview with Ion last year where he functionally said they were focused on making new places for us to go and not old ones.

Outside of that, we've been told that the retaking of Gilneas would be something that happened in-game, which didn't provide too much context to prove a revamp was coming.

It's the same as why they can't make an expansion around the Emerald Dream, it'll just be the same background, same re-used assets of plants and vegetation... Not much variation aside from a lush green forest and a possible nightmare realm. It's a very specific place, with a very specific backdrop.

I mean, what can you do with the Black Empire that isn't the same architecture and backdrop? The biggest possibility would be something like we get the Black Empire + the Elemental Planes.. but Cata already did that (minus the Black Empire stuff, unless you count the Twilight Highlands and Bastion of Twilight.)

Though if they really want to make a full Black Empire.. they should take a page from Lovecraftian C'thulu design which is just non-euclidian geometric architecture which (while very cool looking) would be a pain to pull off in WoW's engine.

While they can't make an expansion around those ideas, they can make patch zones around them similar with Argus, which to me seems like the right call.

Such bullshit, especially about the old god xpac. Imagine if BfA wouldve left out the entire Sylvanas and Horde vs Alliance crap and just been a full fledged old god xpac.

The themes they couldve combined couldve been tropical South Sea islands with jungles and pirates, Nazjatar and the seafloor, underground caves, and finally Ny'alotha. Enemies ranging from pirates, island tribes, trolls, Naga, murlocs, underground animals, elementals, aqir, faceless ones and more. It couldve been absolutely diverse, both in terms of enemies and zone variety.
