The new zone could be in the dream and located in that space for convenience.
So it has to cross over.A special seed, planted by Tyrande, has grown into a new World Tree and is on the verge of crossing over into Azeroth.
Then why present it as Teldrassil 2 and keep the Nelves in Stormwind forever? It's very likely going to be their new home, just like how Forsaken got theirs back.
The Dream takes up the "free space" next to Ohnaran, and they wouldn't overwrite that with Amirdrassil, especially when it has to come out in reality (so it couldn't just be attached to the Dream per lore). The tree COULD be another zone or area on the Isles, but there is currently nothing pointing to that.
10.2 may not be the final patch, but that doesn't necessarily mean 10.3?
Could be 10.2.5, or 10.2.7.
It isn't being presented as Teldrassil 2. It's being presented as a new world tree.
The Night Elves have a half a dozen other zones they can move to in a hypothetical updated to the world, including living around the new tree. There's just not much at the moment to suggest they're planning on duplicating Teldrassil's "an entire zone on top of a tree" shtick. Especially since it poses all sorts of problems with updated view distance and visual quality.
That Mr gm interview is telling
They considered fractures in time a major content update and have said 10.2 isn't the last major content update....maybe there is no 10.3
Apparently, the leader of the Druids of the Flame is Fandral Staghelm Wait, no--no. I'm just hearing reports that it's actually "Tandral Sageswift."
My bad. I am being assured that this Tandral Sageswift figure is most decidedly NOT Fandral Staghelm wearing a mustache from the costume shop.
So I know this question about allied races gets asked pretty much everytime, but I find hes answer a bit off.
''No Allied Races are coming in Patch 10.2, but it's something the team is keeping in mind when they introduce new cultures.''
I don't think new cultures is really what people are looking into, it's mostly about cool excisting options that are already there. Maybe I am reading to much into it, but that is just weird answer. There are so many options still..
Also, this was the perfect time to add maybe 1 or 2 new races who could be druid, just to start it off with. again something people have been asking for, but they wont let you do that in the literal ED patch. Just a no, but you can do other druid things. ok.
''The team has been looking to increase the diversity of race and class combinations.''
''There are not new Druid classes coming in Patch 10.2, but there are new Druid things.''
You could have made this patch so much juicier imo.

Dude, no....
DID and vanilla dwarves are both dwarves, Draenie and LFD are all Draenie. Does that mean they need to share all options????? Of course not....
What's the point of being separate races then???
There is enough of same options between velves and belves, they don't need to keep getting the same options...
What velves need are more void options, like a freaking nzoth eye on their forehead or something or like a tentacle arm, not copying w/e belves get....
Imagine belves wanted all the void options velves had, ffs...
Idk what made you expect that, lol.
That isn't gonna happen.
It's gonna be a Nordrassil/Heart of the Forest sized tree, not another Teldrassil.
Also, the tree is part of the zone.
As you can see the tree in the previews.
Likely covering this large, rounded, elevated spot in the middle of zone.
The Raid beginns at the temple, then has you fly through the zone in that Dragonriding encounter and then the raid ends at Amirdrassil with Fyrakk.
