Don't forget to add in the slightly suspect fact that a lot of the recent revamps/additions are all machines, plus they gave out the mecha-dragon mount to content creators to give out to people

Just saying, the various tanks and siege enignes (Including that WoD-era Dark Iron one) being done up before, say, a tree, is pointing a slightly different way than a revamp (or just wanting that dark iron tank on there given its the most recent model being revamped)

Part of me thinks its finally the revamp, but also we just had a grounded azeroth expansion so it could also make sense to do something cosmic before returning to Azeroth in 12.0.

It reminds me of the whole "progenitor race" where known races pulled and adapted their language from (good ol' archeological trope we see in movies). Is it possible that this is what were looking at? An original force before it seperated into the 6 we know today?

How would everyone feel if we got a small 3 zone continent for a quick leveling experience. Maybe slightly larger than Kultiras or Zandalar.

A lot of end game content being in the revamped Azeroth EK and Kal.

First major patch sends us to Karesh or some other planet, but that planet will be used for 2-3 patches.


So 11.0. World Revamp and Small continent for leveling.
11.0.5/0.7 void invasions.
11.1- We go to Karesh. Its an Outland style continent/planet but only 1 zone is accessible during 11.1.
11.1.5 all the way through 11.3 opens up new parts of the planet before we unlock it all in the final patch.


Basically the 100% brand new areas in 11.0 are pretty small, but lots of end game content added to the new revamped world to compensate.

Patches take us to a new place and we slowly unlock the entire landmass over patches.

This makes sense to me. The Titans, the Legion (started by a Titan) and the Old Gods are the forces that had the biggest obsession with Azeroth.

Maybe this is foreshadowing what's going on with the Avaloren Heretics?

WoW and Diablo 4 expacs are certain, but of course we don't have direct confirmation (we have undirect though, Ybarra on twitter said Metzen will tell us about WoW future and yearly expansions for Diablo 4 were confirmed).

Less interesting, but still obvious are Cata Classic and Hearthstone new stuff. I wonder how they want deal with WoTLK - make 4th iteration of Classic or remove it like TBC which would cause drama? Or maybe find a way to keep old world in Cata client and move all chars to 4.0? I would love that cause it would give hope to reintroduce old world to retail.

Overwatch 2 situation will be more interesting, I wonder what Blizzard will try to counter current disaster.

There is also new survival game, but it's unknown if it's advanced enough to reveal. If they plan to do yearly Blizzcons again, maybe they want all spotlight on that game on Blizzcon 2024.

I feel like expansions for Diablo will end up getting pushed back to every 1.5 years which is a little more palpable.

But I suppose thats not relevant to this thread. Not sure if we are allowed to discuss blizzcon at large in this thread.

The explicit tease of the Broken make me think that a Character Creation Screen rehaul is due. Because three Draenei options on the screen is to look crazy (and I think they are too different to be barber shop).

Also, really hoping for new HD backgrounds for characters.

I feel like Borken/Krokul would be an allied race.

And how would elements be shown differently from how they are a major factor in this expansion? Is the world revamp specifically for Deepholm and Vashj'ir?

Thrall and the heroes of the alliance and horde could use Azeroth's elements to repel a light invasion. Essentially the Shaminism of the Orcs versus the Light/Naaru power of the Draenei.

The gish (fighter/mage) is a classic and extremely popular fantasy archetype that has remained unfullfilled in WoW. Mechanically multiple specs absolutely cover it (Enhancement, Frost DK are the most obvious) but thematically it is so different that it just doesn't work. That said, they have not used that archetype for WoW NPCs at a major scale; sure there are spellblades but they are not faction leaders etc. So similar to bard, it is common in fantasy but not that common in WoW.

This means one of 2 things:

1. This was during a time pre-Legion, where the Demons basically ruled VIA who the strongest was.

Or 2. There IS a Pantheon of Chaos, and we either haven't seen them yet, or Sargeras either destroyed them and/or took some of their Demons for his crusade. Hell, it is possible they ate eachother up.

Tho, i like the idea that they're still out there somewhere. Metzen would be PERFECT for an expac like that.

Pantheon of Chaos with Denathrius as the main villain seemingly being their pawn but working to usurp them whilst also running the new Legion would be the only cosmic expansion I wouldn’t mind getting in stead of a world revamp for next expansion.

Set it on Nathreza, have us visit other Legion worlds in patch content such as Xoroth and Rancora (little throwback to Portal boss in Antorus with those three worlds) and I’d be pretty content.

Perfect opportunity to give us the return of Archimonde and Teron Gorefiend too.

The broken being in the Eradar unlock quest and the fel green Space Goat racial really got me thinking about the random question they added in the FAQ for 10.2. I wonder if Allied Races will be coming back in a big way. I could see them reordering some to be a sort of sub species and adding the Broken in the near future. Like, you create a dwarf then go one to pick if it's Wildhammer, Dark Iron, or Ironforge flavors like how it works for DnD.
