But, based on the speed they’ve been churning out the content… I just don’t see a huge drought coming our way either. So I’m really beginning to wonder if we’re potentially getting 11.0 sometime next summer? If 11.0 isn’t getting close, why plan to hit new patches every 8 weeks? Why not every 10 weeks?
or 11.0 could actually be a world revamp so they're draining resources from dragonflight for that.

I think it's rather this Eastern kingdoms+ light goes evil expansion idea. Overall the EK need a revamp much more. Also from a business perspective they can then split the revamp into two expansions
    Zorn | Vynd | Pheraz | Sylwina | Mondlicht | Eis | Blut | Emerelle - Plus 20 more...

But if that’s always been the plan, if they’d just slowed down DF’s cadence by 1-2 weeks per patch, they’d have given themselves another 3ish months. It’s all very interesting.

I'd say your "concern" is directly related to the "speed."

Speed doesn't really matter if we are now going to play this "Will the expansion be cut every x.2 patch" discourse every expansion.

The logical dissonance between Speedy patches and cutting & running is palpable.

Again, the company knows that they've got a powerful tool in their hands now. They can make you buy a worse product on the belief that you think they will offer a full product only to once again go dead silent around the times when the products status is in full disarray.
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

It doesnt really matter what they may or may not have scrapped from DF for a world revamp. Such a big undertaking would have, and indeed has taken several years. The only question is whether we will see them scrap someting from DF at the end just to get the last bit they need.
The world revamp dream will never die!

Revamp will give them a pass. Cut a raid tier for Silvermoin City? Easy money.

Also we are still getting 10.2.5 and could get a 10.2.7 and a new dungeon.

they need a justification to slow down the content release, and a world revamp is a good one. imagine having a slow content release at the start of dragonflight after the shadowlands fiasco. they had to get some good will back first

They could frame it as getting us back to late summer releases, given the expansion releases getting pushed closer to December has been a sticking point for a while now.
But yeah, Blizzard would effectively take on the reputation of X.2 being the final major patch. It would take several expansions of X.3 to actually convince player that SL and DF were a fluke.

We're getting a mini raid in 2.5. this one is too small and the tyr storyline still needs epic resolution.

    Prob a two boss raid

    Exactly this.
See my reply. 3/5 of the current leading council were in leadership roles of the forsaken since classic/cata and all took part in dark shore and of the 2 new comers one was at every part of the horde war campaign.

The forsaken should have nothing to do with any thing night elf related while these people go total unpunished for there role against them and continue to lead the forsaken.

She was the fucking WARCHIEF. You can't expect even the most noble Horde to just go against direct orders from the commander and chief without risking death or imprisonment.

Plus if I remember correctly all the true loyalists were chained up after she killed saurfang.

Still, until that point there is still nothing that Tyr being revived solves that warrants all the buildup. And while it might be hindsight, there wouldn't then be a reason why we couldn't simply revive Tyr at the beginning and just have him be a regular quest giver in Valdrakken.

The Eredar quest unlocks a few week in I believe.

This is also a good point towards antagonistic Tyr.
Without an actual purpose to Tyr being revived we gravitate towards him simply commenting on the changes since he died. And Vyranoth being angry at him, coupled with him seemingly not caring about his experiments leads us to a collision course for the two characters. And since Vyranoth furthermore is being built up as an ally it would then logically follow that Tyr is antagonistic.
My thoughts as well, Tyr will just be there and will likely follow hes order ideas. We dont know what tasks he might continue on. I would imagine he needs to be updated to the Vyranoth situation. She doesnt stand for order ideals and maybe Alex opinion on that matter has changed as well. We have yet to see a reaction, but this meeting can go completely wrong. What if hes response upon riviving is target locked on Vyranoth? What will alex do?

There will be something there, Tyr cannot be like hey hello I am back lets get back to our usual chores. Its suppose to be a big deal so I would imagine.

Oh snap I forgot about Uldaz bring the last facility the maiden of vitality mentioned in BFA.

And the freaking infinite hand lists it too????

Dude, that totally going to be the mini raid of 2.5. isn't it obvious???? Prob in a mini zone Avaloren, if it's not the 11.0 setting.

Cuz yeah, right now Tyr has no purpose if he's not even in the .2 campaign to defend the tree.

Okay but the only reason people are asking that is because Shadowlands stopped at 9.2 and that expansion was dealing with a global pandemic.

Sanctioned by their patron goddess. "No one knew" Elune knew. She wanted it to happen. And now, as direct result of the tree being burned, the Aspects are going to get their powers back. These are the actual results of those "mysterious ways" religious types like to brag about.

You have to deal with the nonsense logic of punishing something that was the direct result of divine intervention and how it makes no sense to blame anyone for something they had no real choice in.

Also do Blizzard need to be reminded they can do a small raid? Either as a major patch (5 - 8 bosses) or a minor patch (2 - 4) bosses. Seems to me the perfect end to this expansion would be a 5 boss raid released in 10.3 & then fated versions of all the raids released in 10.3.5

Yeah, another megadungeon would help a lot. For example changing Nighthold 'Karazhan style' into dungeon with new and returning bosses. They are teasing it's return, but when I think about it timewalking raid as seasonal content feels weird, Nighthold was current tier only 5 months, but we raided it for transmog/mounts for years. And they have already tested Fated system for raids.

Imo we will have 3 more patches:

    1) On Blizzcon revealing 11.0 + giving roadmap, 10.2 right after Blizzcon + next PTR around same time

    2) 10.2.2 - January, timewalking BfA (+ expanding timewalking in general to open world), playable Shaman, Paladin or Druid for all races, Heritage Troll/Draenei

    3) 10.2.5 - March, new megadungeon + open world content, patch similar to 10.1.5, epilogue for Dragonflight - we get disc of Tyr, playable Shaman, Paladin or Druid, also catch up for Season 3 similar to Forbidden Reach and Dreamsurges.

    4) 10.2.7 - May, start of Season 4 - Fated raids (with systems like dinars returning), 2 M+ from megadungeon + 6 old ones, maybe first season with solo rated battlegrounds (I expect it for 11.0 though), playable Shaman, Paladin or Druid, heritage for Pandaren and Dracthyr (kinda serving like post credit DF scene).

    5) Alpha/Beta from June to October.

Again we already fought Tyr in the Megadungeon. And why the hell would you want to waste Avaloren, which can be easily a continent on it's own just to make it a patch zone??

"You're not going to get to go anywhere new for the next two expansions" is a tough sell. I really hope they just do it all at once if they're going to do it.

I'd be fine with a revamp spread over two expansions, more time to do the job properly!

If there will be an open feud between them, it will DEFINITELY involve the White Scales. The Aspects will be aware of them entering the picture (I do wonder why there are so many full-grown versions of them already). It may as well serve as the way to put the escalation down between Vyranoth and Tyr (and therefore, the Keepers).

An example: Tyr's now-complete "flight" and forces are allowed to stay on the Dragon Isles and coexist with the Dragons for the egg-waters in the Ruby Life Pools no longer being infused with Order magic.

Content-and-story-wise, it would be enough to fit into 10.2.5 and give this sub-plot a somewhat thorough conclusion.
