It should be noted that the mobs and the player model do not use the same animations currently. Also, that rework could mean they are splitting the two up. I would advise against ogrereading of this.

    Cheers.

Interesting that this is happening in 10.2 and not even 10.2.5 as an epilogue if we aren’t getting 10.3

Makes you wonder if 10.2.5 will even be dragon related or if it’s more of a lead in to next expansion?

The new moonkin isn't accessible yet on PTR. I think they will just keep the old one in as an option

But updating basically every Ogre animation and then NOT using it on Ogre? Idk.

Please don’t. This is going to give Teriz even more ammunition that it’s Lightbound next.

Let’s hope if it means anything, we’re getting a handful of new races to tie into a revamp. Ogres, Ankoan, Broken and Mogu or something.

The Elemental Lords aren't really the "chosen ones" of the Elementals AFAIK, more like really powerful Warlords who claimed power, right?

But the Primal Incarnates aren't either. They're basically infused with Elemental power, similar to how the Dragon Aspects were infused by the Titans.

So should we consider the Primal Incarnates as the "endgame" of the Elementals at this point, or is there still a way to one-up them?

So with that in mind, should the
id say the incarnates are on par with elemental lords

If the incarnates are roughly on par with the aspects when they were empowered, I don't think the aspects were on par with old gods. Weren't the elemental lords sort of in the ballpark of old gods? Not their equals given the way the war went, but definitely formidable for a long time.

If a single corrupted tear from the nightmare can end an aspect (years) I'm pretty sure an entire old god is exponentially more powerful than an aspect, and therefore roughly that much more powerful than an incarnate. Neither an incarnate nor an aspect are even a fly compared to an old god, and elemental lords resisted them for hundreds or thousands of years.

That was my takeaway. Maybe they realized the old Ogre animations/models weren't expressive enough.

You're assuming they're making Ogre animations. Not Moonkin animations.

I do wonder what this "big and epic conclusion" of Tyr's story has to offer.

I mean, if he has plenty of ammunition, that may indicate there's a grain of truth to his inference. As I've said before, although Teriz is painfully repetitive, he has been right in the past.

Also Ogres 3.0 bringing Teriz and Warlords 2 to mind before ANYTHING ELSE is very funny.

I'm still unreasonably annoyed about the use of the word "aspectral" instead of "aspectual". It sounds more like they're saying something is corporeal ("not spectral") than it has to do with aspects. The proper word for that is "aspectual".

Only by pure accident though, not because of anything that logically followed from his claims.

What about with the Augmentation thing? He was pretty reasonable in assuming we'd get a support spec when all the evidence was pointing that way, and there was still some opposition on that front simply because it was someone considered annoying and repetitive who was saying it.
