I don't think "lesser" is accurate here. It's a different class. The Exodar is a transport. The Vindicaar is a dedicated assault vessel.

It's smaller, but by no means weaker. Quite the opposite, given that it just sat around in the open on Argus and was no worse for the wear, while the Xenedar experienced some minor complications when it didn't hide.

I'd assume the Xenedar's issue was the lack of X'era to power up its shields.

I'm in 11.0 Reveal-Bingo brainstorming mood, so here are some things I wanna see next Expansion:

    - Timewalking revamp to have it being up more frequently (but still focused on a single expansion per week), including old open world content
    - Timewalking Raids going through a whole expansion, make it a bit like the dragonriding coup to spread it out. For example for TBC timewalking it would be awesome to get a big campaign quest which leads us through the dungeons and raids and ends with Hand of A'dal as a title again - people who got it the old way still have an unique FoS. Other expansions could re-intruduce old Ahead of the Curve mounts, or the Naxx proto drakes as a final reward for this. Hell, I would even love an updated version of the Call of the Scarab event that ends with the HD black drone. They can easily fill 6 months of timewalking events with that per expansion. Also for the love of god, please add achievements for the timewalking versions of dungeons and raids.
    - PvP revamp with the Solo RBG Queues, which is already in work and will hopefully ready with 11.0 launch.
    - Bring back old Gladiator and Elite rewards via vicious saddles and marks of honor, the casual way just like people can farm Mythic endboss mounts down the line. Make it so that people still get an unique FoS and 2 expansions until the stuff gets released. To make it fair, M+ seasonal mounts will also come back after 2 expansions.
    - HD revamp for old classic/tbc mounts, just replace them please
    - Now that we got specific profession achievements, maybe some class achievements like we had in Diablo 3 would be fun too!
    - Housing
    - Increase the account-wide character cap again please
    - Hopefully new races
    - All classes (besides Evokers) for all Races

All in all, I want them to go all in on destroying FOMO and bringing everything back once enough time has gone by, while still giving people who owned the original stuff a FoS, just like they did with the recent crafting FoS's. The Game is 19 years old, just release all the stuff that collects dust and is barely seen anyways. People who wanna feel "special" can still get things while they are hard and current.

Stuff that I could see them doing:
    - Prolly some kind of trading post update to make it even more like a battlepass, or even the switch from monthly sub to battlepass with the trading post as free to play option?
    - Either revamp or Avaloren, but I'm part of Team World Revamp this time. Dragonflight is great at retaining players, now they need nostalgia to get people back who left during Shadowlands. Make it feel a bit like Mortal Kombat 1, market it as a fresh start in Kalimdor/EK with modern graphics, gameplay and endgame. Save Avaloren for 12.0 and use 11.0 to spread even more hints about it through the world. But in the end, I personally don't really care about the location as long as they continue to make the base game better for anyone.

That would be quite the design failure for a combat vessel, though.

Who knows. Are the Dimensional ships combat vessels? Who even made them? The Draenei can clearly replicate them. I'd assume they would be supposed to hide after X'era decided to dispatch her core to Azeroth.

I mean, if he has plenty of ammunition, that may indicate there's a grain of truth to his inference. As I've said before, although Teriz is painfully repetitive, he has been right in the past.
He won't have to write it anyway, as far as I can see... That one "leak" already beat him to it, well sort of, but I have to admit that they really know their lore. Really gives me a feeling that calia will be the one to bring back the Scarlet crusade Could you imagine seeing Darion and Renault meet again, going toe to toe in some sort of Dark Undead Vs. Light Undead rivalry of two brothers, or something like that? That Lordaeron map a few pages back really gets me excited for an "Old World Redux!", both lore and landmass included; don't you think there's potential for this to be an epic comeback for this game? I think so!

Honestly I still wish we could get a Seven Kingdoms AU to match WoD. And of all the places in vanilla, Lordaeron is the one that needs a proper revamp that alters the landmass the most. Like, WHERE is Alterac Valley? There is nowhere to place it in the current map.

No, because we just got the Dracthyr.

Arakkoa and Ogres are my picks for next races (if we get any).

That was an idea I had a year ago, but then I thought of Azshara / the Highborne, and how much cooler it would be to do Pre-Sundering AU! Dark Trolls, Elves all the pristine architecture... Then I saw Bellular's chat with Matt, they were saying a Pre-Titan Ordered expansion with the real story of how it was before, but it could be too risky maybe, I don't know!

Sorry I digress, but yeah, the idea of placing the BGs into the world map would be so cool!

Would be a challenge for Warsong Gulch, how would you place it on the border of 2 zones?

See I don't need Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin or really, most of the Battlegrounds in game. The concept of the Gulch exists in Ashenvale; not the exact map but the idea of it. Same with Arathi. But Alterac Valley actually has lore, it is the home of the Frostwolf, it has Frost Troll villages and significant Titan ruins (that have never been explored) with a Dwarven presence. So these areas need some representation in the world map.

As for AU ideas, I think they could make an amazing evergreen feature for solo or small groups (scenario) that is located in the Caverns of Time and sends us to a variety of locations in time, using existing assets. Gameplay could be like Torghast with some excuse to add rogue like elements than you'd use existing locations to build important times in Azeroth lore and send us there to preserve the timeline. We can come with several dozen moments if we just think through it. Excellent way to add cosmetics and it could work on a rotation like Islands.

A thing I just thought of, is the need for meaningful basic world content, for people who just want to kick back with fishing, herbalism etc.

Maybe a Renown faction you gain rep with exclusively by catching fish and stuff.

I'd like to spend time doing content like that, in zones such as Azure Span. But atm it just doesn't feel worthwhile.

I know it's a bit counterintuitive to ask for goals and challenges for what is meant to be a very chill activity. But I think there's room for a nice balance there.

After the Legion fishing factions: No thank you.

    Optional, of course.

Yes exactly, I think someone had a reddit post about the CoT idea?

I mean, most of the content in the game is optional.

Problem is, there's not much you can do with Fishing or Herbalism or whatever that's not "Fish up 1000 doodads!" which is just incredibly boring (and I get that fishing is inherently boring, but that's even worse).

I definitely respect your feelings on it. It's not for everyone. But neither is Mythic raiding or rated PvP.

I have a feeling there are more people interested in immersive casual content than there are those who want to push their limits in raids, but that's just a hunch. Either way, there's room enough for both.

Don’t see an issue with it being added; as said it’s optional so you wouldn’t have to do it. If something so minuscule with minimal effort could be added then I don’t see why it would be an issue. Some people would get something out of it and I remember plenty of people doing the Legion fishing content.

There’s no downside to adding it. Not wanting something you don’t want in game that would remain completely optional is just an odd take.

My problem is not them adding it: My problem is with the way Fishing works, it's just not engaging content.

Did anyone actually enjoy farming Margoss or the Fisherfriends of the Isles achievement? Fishing up 3550 items, sitting in the same spot because they only spawn in this one specific place?

I have no issues with the adding "casual content" (no need to turn this into a "buh people dont like raiding !" lmao).

The issues is that, same with Archaelogy, Fishing is in dire need of a complete make-over. Right now it's literally "Press F -> Press F when there is a sound". There's nothing you can do with it in terms of content other than "Catch x amount of fish!"

Any other MMO has actually engaging fishing. GW2s Fishing is really fun, has different choices in terms of lures and baits, which actually affect what fish you get, and Fishing is actually useful in the game unlike WoWs fishing which is... just never relevant? You fish to fish. In DF, the only reason to fish is to get the upgrades for the spear, which are completely useless.

Dragonflight added things like Spearfishing which makes it more interactive, and it's a good start.

Again, that's cool and I hope they keep making more of the content you enjoy.

For me, part of the allure of fishing as it currently works is precisely that is is fairly brain dead. It's not the activity itself that matters most, but that you're out in nature doing it, getting all immersed by the music and the landscape. Pretty much like fishing with a simple rod and bobber by a lake IRL, which is different from sportfishing.
