It was very hard to see Iridikron's speech with the activation of the Harbinger not being the next expansion and setting off the next (at least) 2 expansions with the Megadungeon speech.

Danuser isn't going to relinquish anything. Metzen most likely is Classic affliated than anything to do with retail since its Danusers ship.

A light invasion expansion would be virtually the same as a void invasion expansion. Despite what many players believe the old gods & void lords are two largely unrelated factions with their own independent goals, they just use the same kind of magic.

I disagree. Look at this thread; People are saying we're going to either an Argus-looking zone with different colored Dreadlords, or under the sea to fight Azshara and an old god again. Both retreads on previous expansions.

We've never faced an antagonistic Draenei and naaru force that were aligned with the light. So yes, it would be something different, because we are set on the mentality that the Light=Good. Such an expansion would turn that paradigm on its head.

I think anything but Revamp was a bust in the diaspora of World of Warcraft fan mindspace. Especially since content creators turbo-charged it into the "boom or bust" scenario at Blizzcon.

So yeah, Blizzard pushing Danusers plot through even though it will just again lead us to a non conclusion with the World Soul. Its a bit strange, ain't it.

But I assume they've got something else to announce alongside it.

I think if they were to do a light expansion it would couple with void. Put us in the middle of 2 celestial superpowers. I do like the idea of a light invasion maybe because I love legion so if it followed the same pattern. Invasion-pushback-enter their world then I'd be down

Scaleface and wowexdev (used to be wxd on MMO-C) are entirely different people as far as I can remember.

The problem is that SL came after N'Zoth patch, so for players it was just an extension of more shadow stuff. Some people are obsessed with shadow-based content, but not every player wants a steady diet of shadow over and over again. Doing an entire shadow/void expansion after 8.3, Shadowlands, and the bit of void we got in Aberrus would be a mistake. It's almost becoming a crutch for Blizzard and it's time to bring some new aligned villains into the equation.

MoP wasn't DoA because it was something fresh after TBC, WotLK, and Cataclysm. At the time nerds bristled at it, but now in retrospect its considered one of the best expansions Blizzard has ever done.

So the argument is that THIS time she'll be playing for keeps? While we're still fighting the same minions, and dealing with the same spells, using the same assets from BFA.

Why do you assume that they’ll be the same assets? You’re just being deliberately obtuse at this point in order to go against what people are saying to you. You know full well that with a character like Azshara that they could and would be completely new assets.

Some of the possibilities:

- She sheds her Naga form and takes on her previous Highborne form. We could either fight her in Ancient Kalimdor which wouldn’t be Naga enemies or Naga assets at all. They would be Highborne assets and the Highborne we fight would likely be either Void corrupted or possibly even Order.

- A theory thrown around a few times is that she travels to the centre of Azeroth and she absorbs the essence of Azeroth, essentially becoming her avatar. This would clearly necessitate a form change for her and she’s very likely have the ability to transform her minions into something more fitting. Presto, new assets and aesthetics. There you go, you have your villain for the underground expansion you want, and one a lot more compelling than Gallywix in an azerite mech suit.

- She makes a deal with the Void Lords themselves and brings about the voids invasion of Azeroth. Again, this would be using the new Void art direction seen in Aberrus.

- She invades the seat of the pantheon and frees Sargeras. She then uses Sargeras to gain access to the realm of order with the assistance of Iridikron and Xal’atath in an effort to rid the cosmos of the titans.

Like, come on. Surely you aren’t this unimaginative? I feel like at this point you’re just being deliberately stubborn and disregarding everything everyone is saying to you, purely because you don’t want to see it and because you want to be right.

I may be wrong, but wasn’t Scaleface being backed up and corroborated on their posts here by another poster? Could be this wxd but I may be misremembering.

Either way, Scaleface wasn’t alone when leaking DF, someone was corroborating his posts and vice versa.

Scaleface dropped the Twitter account in the Legion speculation thread and said it was his friend and unrelated to him. Whether you believe him or not is up to you.

I still don't really believe much that a Trademark will show up. Blizzard is too aware to do so these days. I mean I keep an eye out just in case, I guess.
