IF it is an underground expansion next, which I just can’t see happening; then I imagine the zones would be the following:

    - Undermine, with a district being reserved for expansion capital.
    - Khaz Algar
    - Wow’s take on the Underdark
    - Uldaz
    - A Nerubian/Aqir zone
    - Possibly the Barrow Dens

I still think we’re looking at Avaloren/Other side of Azeroth as most likely with the below being the most likely if not:

    - Revamp
    - South Seas
    - Void invasion

Then I’d say we get into the likes of underground, Lifelands, ancient Kalimdor, Yrel, K’Aresh.

But the point is moot anyway since WoW cares about as much about scale as that iceberg cares about any passenger ships driving towards it.

Saying "Blizzard wouldn't turn Kezan into a giant continent" ignores what they did to Kul Tiras.

Rise, rise! Our Queen calls to us from beyond the Umbral Veil. She has transcended the Circle of Stars and basks in her eternal grandeur!

The time we have long awaited is nigh.
This is obvious. Azshara is now a powerful agent of the Void, and she's once again making moves.

Pay attention to the punctuation there
Azshara is basking in someone else's glory

    Well then here's an example of a volcanic island like Kezan;

Again, the majority of the mass is underwater.

Kul Tiras was made into half a continent, let's not overstate what happened. They still attempted to act like it was an island. And for that matter, I am convinced they only made it into two large islands because they wanted to avoid complaints of zones being disconnected.

And besides, Kezan is already an interractible island on the map. It would have to be fully underground to even remotely make sense to increase the size.

Personal opinions aside for a “potential” underground expansion, one of FF14 Endwalker’s zones is underground and you can’t even tell (by its design).

I could honestly care less what 11.0 is about/looks like, I will play it no matter what because I’m a WoW shill.

You do realize islands dont float right? And connect to the ocean floor/earth's crust and what you see above water is just a tiny portion of it. Islands are just underwater mountains who's tallest peaks just poke up above water. The iceberg analogy still sorta works as they are indeed waaay bigger under the water than above

Uh Undermine IS fully underground. We're talking about Undermine, not Kezan.

Blizzard don’t care about that because they went against the entire idea of disconnected zones with the very next expansion in Shadowlands.

Well in that case my argument is that it's a terrible idea and I hope that doesnt happen.

The very clearly did, because the trippy portals were their solution to the loading screens that plagued Cata, and to a lesser extent BfA.

It was a horrible attempt at hiding the issue, but still.

Possible name of the expansion: Twilight Empire

    - Dodges the use of the word "Shadow", which has negative connotations after Shadowlands
    - Includes two well known "Void words"
    - Reference to the new empire Azshara wishes to rule over
    - Reference to the Hour of Twilight, which is what the Old Gods see as their endgame
    - Alludes to the threat of the expansion, just like Legion and Shadowlands
    - Sounds cool AF

People aren't tired of fighting twilight cultists and faceless ones yet?

Well there you go. Many back and forths on this forum would end a whole lot quicker if people simply said they disliked the idea and moved on.

Doesn’t change the fact that they made a disconnected landmass, when they simply could have. They don’t care, the trippy portals was just something they thought would look cool and would fit the theme of travelling to different realms of the afterlife.

What people are tired of doesn't really matter. The Void is next.

My question with that is what's after the void? Also we stomped N'Zoth in a patch, so why would Azshara suddenly be an expansion-level problem when we stomped her in a patch as well?

Looks like the Wrathion / Netherwing quest was enabled on PTR this week

We also stomped Archimonde, Garrosh, Onyxia, Nefarian, Ragnaros, and about a dozen others over the years and they were still able to pose a threat in the future.

To answer your question, after the Void we enter a new era for Warcraft, where anything's on the table.

Could be something as humble as a pirate adventure to the other side of the world.

Could be unexpected, like exploring the darker sides of the Light, Life, and Order.

    Could be WoW 2.

Could be a revamp with focus on smaller stories.

I've no idea, only that the legacy of Warcraft 3 will probably be behind us at that point.

Twilight cultists and faceless ones, yes.

Funky electric blue void stuff? Not so much. Gimme more of that.

At some point an expansion threat has to be a lower tier problem, it can't eternally go up. That's how we end up with another Jailer.
