I perfectly comprehend it, I just struggle to see the appeal of an underground zone where you are either feeling claustrophobic, or not really in what looks like a cave at all.
Sounds to me like what you want then is an above ground continent with a zone that feels like a cave as a zone.

Nothing in the game currently supports the idea of a hollow Azeroth, and if there was i would want more buildup to that rather than rest it like a gimmick.

We shouldn't assume he started at this job today, the day it was announced. He already said he was working at Blizzard again several months ago. This metzen news is that "Official Beginning of the Blizzcon Hypetrain" people were waiting for. The wheels are rolling.

Whats the difference between 'lead narrative designer (Danuser)' and 'Executive Creative Director (Metzen)'?

Does that imply that Metzen would have a say or even the final say in story elements over Danuser? Because the tweet that they dropped seems to say that it's a world building/lore thing.

One is the story, the other is more a general level (story, art, gameplay, etc)

We have never had a purely Titan themed area though, nor one purely city themed. So you would still have Titan facility in a cave, and cool tech city in a cave.

Each zone idea you have would also come with the "in a cave" qualifier, which is difficult to get away from.

Uldaz wouldn't be the same style as the Goblin city though. Uldaz would be more like underground ruins with tech elements.

As for city zones, we did have them on Kul'tiras, Zandalar, and Suramar. I do think the Goblin city in Undermine should be far larger, and incorporate some elements from Mechagon.

True, but what we are saying is that this is not the time to try something new. This is the time to go for a guaranteed crowd pleaser.

Once you have the World Revamp out of the way is when you can try to go for something new and unproven. Partially because that is when they might have more goodwill stored up, and partially because they would then officially be out of obvious ideas for future expansions.

I think W3 reforged is getting a soft reboot but maybe it evolved into something bigger, because its one of the games that will 100% land on gamepass.

I’ve seen it said a few times in this thread that Scaleface was the one who leaked Legion… if memory serves, the guy who leaked Legion was called Jericho wasn’t he and and his source got in trouble with Blizzard over it. Then he gave us a fake leak regarding BfA and admitted he knew nothing of BfA for the reason I just said.

This is so fucking false lmaooo. Blizzard always plans things like 2 expansions ahead. Dragonflight was likely being worked on during SL's development as well. There's no way they would've had the time to force DF into WoW and still release it in 2022.
