As far as we know, the Titans are responsible for "shaping" Azeroth into a habitable world. They gave us technology, they blessed us with the Dragon Aspects, protected us from a number of horrific world-ending threats, created what would become Humans, Dwarves and Gnomes among other things, and they ensured the Old Gods weren't able to consume the world-soul during the height of the Black Empire.

True, but how much of that was intentional? None of it.

The well of eternity was the result of trying to kill an old god. They become sentient because of the Well of Eternity, a Titan creation.

They were sentient before the Well of Eternity and also the well is only a titan creation in the same way a playstation 5 is a Benjamin Franklin creation.

I'm not saying I want Azeroth to be manipulated or used by any external force, but to suggest the Titans havent been a force for good is simply wrong. It had been one thing if they arrived when all was fine and dandy, and started messing things up. But all they've done on Azeroth has been reactive, in response to the fact that the planet was being infested by the Old Gods.

Can you say with certainty that the humanoid life that exists there now is objectively better than the Insectoid Life that would dominate the Old God equivalent?

Or how about Galakrond? The Incarnates could argue that they could have destroyed the Old Gods & The Black Empire if they had been given the chance you can't say they're wrong with any certainty.

So for virtual ticket goodies - they should be added to files(encrypted) in 10.1.5 or 10.1.7 right?

Since wow stuff revealed for virtual ticket usually appears in game the same day its announced, then i guess the lo'gosh set and sylvanas armor won't be for the ticket, because they've been added in 10.2.

Their true nature was already revealed when WotLK made it apparent that they had zero problem wiping out all life on the entire planet at the slightest hint of "corruption", and that their forces are almost entirely composed of mindless slave races.

Marlamin suggested that the 11.0 rewards are within the current encrypted file sets, I assume that also extends to the Blizzcon rewards since we're only a matter of weeks out.

If I had to guess, given the timing, I'd say that the unknown gryphon thing is probably the Blizzcon reward. It'd make sense for the Blizzcon reward to be a dragonriding capable/partially customizable mount.

Slightest hint of corruption? All of the keepers have been compromised by the old gods, one of them got killed (and soon later almost resurrected by Cho'gall), another is about to go free. Multiple Old God worshipping races are all over the planet, the Emerald Dream has been corrupted to Nightmare with an Old God creation implanted in it.
I mean, that's not a slight hint of corruption.

The armor sets shouldn't be Blizzcon related as they aren't encrypted. Blizzard usually encrypts items related to Blizzcon and the ingame store. Currently there is a "Sky Captains" cosmetic set that is encrypted, but listed on the PTR, so that could be a fit.

I agree that most likely the Green Energy Gryphon and the Nightmare Dragon that was on Wrath are most likely tied to Blizzcon. Nightmare could be the Cata preorder mount, with an HD version for retail like the Tuskarr glider, and Gryphon could be virtual ticket or tied to 11.0. Or Cata, 11.0 and the Ticket have three different mounts and we are missing one of them. It's important to note that both the drake and gymryphon rigs will EVENTUALLY receive dragonriding.

The datamined ghostly sound... unsure if it's for the gryphon or another mount.

I really hope we get the nightmare dragon for retail too ... I'm sick of classic getting stuff that's not available on retail.

So far every new classic mount (lizard, tuskarr glider) got a retail version in HD, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Sadly no, we never got the festering green dragon mount and I think they also didnt release the easterbunny pet for retail (nor the mount for classic although it has a model there).

While the Well of Eternity was accidental, it was still the result of the Titans seeking to do good, to rid Azeroth from an invasive species seeking to corrupt and consume it. The Keepers then built the structures around it to ensure it remained safe. Which then caused life on Azeroth to accelerate, and sentient beings to evolve.

I'm not saying I want Azeroth to be manipulated or used by any external force, but to suggest the Titans havent been a force for good is simply wrong. Something else that should be considered: The Titans can be talked to and they owe us quite a bit.

It is a slight hint of corruption re: the planet as a whole. That is my point; the Titans have literally never given any fuck about the planet itself or the various lifeforms on it.

Their system wasn't "is the planet okay or corrupt?" their system was: "is our own control system threatened? If Y; vaporize the entire world and everyone on it."

Literally the only reason that "we" are all alive right now is that a Constellar, not a Titan or Titan Keeper/watcher, decided that the Titan's status systems were in the wrong on what constitutes a condemned world and effectively lied to their system.

Iridikron is correct, and his conclusion is exactly what WotLK set up: The Titans aren't out to do "good" and they don't care about us. They are out to remake the universe to their own vision and will commit mass genocide without the slightest hesitation if it conflicts with their own interests. Even before the setting doubled down on cosmic alignment, the Titans were established as just being terraformers with little interest in what or who was on the planet first.

It likely wasn't a very beautiful place, nor super adapted for intelligent life. Why else would they need to shape mountains, clear out the seas and so on?

The same reason humans build palm tree shaped islands and flood entire valleys.

Also I don't know what your thing about intelligent life here is. There was intelligent, sentient life on the planet from the start. The Elementals were a fully developed, sentient and intelligent society before the Old Gods even showed up, and then when the Old Gods showed up their off-spring were also intelligent and had a fully developed society before the Titans showed up.

Brings me back to the silly 10.0 speculation where people thought that the datamined green effects around the encrypted mount for pre-purchase meant that 10.0 would be a "Lifelands expansion" or some other nonsense.

Some things never change I suppose.
