So been watching a few youtube streams covering 4chan rumors. I don't think much of it of course, but I'm curious if anyone knows off hand if 4chan rumors have ever been right?

They are bound to eventually being right, simply due to a coincidence. But 4chan is for trolling.

I think we can delete the "leak orc" whispering in Thralls ear, considering its revealed as fake now. Could potentially replace it with N'zoth, considering a void xpac seems likely and hes still theorized to come back.

No deleting on the hype train unless it's to replace it with a better version. The totally real orc is an important bit of hype lore.

Speaking of hype lore, I think it's about time we find some way to incorporate caves into this.

He probably just took up the helm himself cause he was the guy people would go to for interviews regarding narrative and whatnot in both SL and DF. Only makes sense he'd get a promotion as a result, regardless of how it happened.

Regardless, Metzen is executive creative director, not narrative lead.

Creative Director = Art Director + Narrative Director.

Art & Writing, Metzen's original job. Danuser didn't get a promotion. If they were going to give that job to Danuser they wouldn't have opened up the job to people outside the company: They look for those jobs internally first.

Not this early that I know of. There might have been ones that flew over everyone's head, but the ones that have been real are the ones likely leaked by convention hall workers for Blizzcon, not actual employees.

We need to find a way to incorporate caves somehow. Maybe replace the void portal with the minimap icon for entrance to Zaralek Caverns to start with?

If an underground exp isn't a hallow earth type of situation like in Godzilla vs Kong then it'd be a bust.

Which is why you attach Undermine to it and attach a technology sub theme. A technology theme gives you the flexibility to add infrastructure to an underground environment like cities, railways, factories, service tunnels, etc. You can also add a titan facility like Uldaz, and/or you could apply the robotic war occurring below Azeroth's surface. Even further, we could explore a titan structure that surrounds the world soul that could be in turn surrounded by the 5th old god.

With those themes you can then attach natural aspects like those found in Zaralek like volcanic floes, crystal structures, and fungal forests to give more variety.

They got Shadowlands correct (the title at least) early on.

We have never had a purely Titan themed area though, nor one purely city themed. So you would still have Titan facility in a cave, and cool tech city in a cave.

Each zone idea you have would also come with the "in a cave" qualifier, which is difficult to get away from.

Here's why I don't think Classic+ makes any sense:

- It would feel awful for me as somebody who played since Vanilla, to feel like I have to abandon the mainline game to try Classic+.

- It wouldn't be ideal to split the playerbase up so much. Classic is one thing, it's seasonal. Classic+ would be permanent, presumably.

- Probably means there's no world revamp, since the HD assets were just meant for that, then.

Here's why I'd love Classic+:

- Back to basics, but a bit more HD.

- Modern lore is such a convoluted mess, and they raced through the good stuff so fast.

- Being able to start again from where we were, but perhaps with a "better" overarching story, the potential for some beloved characters to return, etc. does sound appealing.

They manage and oversee the process of new ideas for things. Metzen is in charge of overseeing the developments of new ideas for Warcraft. Danuser is still in charge of creating narrative ideas for WoW, but he and Metzen are basically working hand in hand now to make sure the execution of said ideas is good.

Did AI write that definition? You're arguing semantics. Danuser did not get a promotion, if he did; they would have already announced that. The person who now decides the premise (a.k.a. the story) of future wow content is Metzen: Like I originally said.

Frozen upper layer with hanging surface level Nerubian structures, light still making it's way through giving a nice auroral glow. Middle layer with temples built into rock walls and connected via web bridges and platforms. Lower lava level (there is an enormous lava flow if memory serves) with ancient Nerubian structures and temples (possible heretics in servitude to Yogg). Maybe a far deeper layer with a portion of Yogg's body exposed (still vaguely unclear on how the titans imprisoned the OGs, but its plain they couldnt have possibly removed/moved their mass).
4 layers of a zone: light frozen civilized, rocky bulk of civilization, lava flow with ancient ruins, void/eldritch caverns with old god body. Nice bit of variety.

Legion story was leaked on 4chan. I think like 8 months or so before reveal?
I remember that a lot of the leaked story changed though. Especially the parts about sylvanas being more or less in the right to start a rampage against the alliance.
More about the features, like class halls and demon hunters, was leaked here i think.

I'd disagree with that. The mogs you'd get from Heroic Warfronts are amazing.

While I fully agree with that, I was more aiming at the itemlevel/main reason people do that content. I love the transmog, but sadly we are in a minority.

Variety is always the easy part though, having to live with it for two years is quite another. If you just want distinct zones then any area could become a full expansion, but that doesnt make it a good idea.

Most 4chan leaks who are catering to the hyperdoomer are just exaggerations of what they want to be true.

Is there reason to be skeptical that the business side won't interfere this Blizzcon? Yeah, absolutely. Even if it is merely just Game Pass for WoW which many of us doomers think will just lead to less investment and less possibility of protesting bad decisionmaking going forward.

But again, when you go further than this for what is currently possible thats' when it becomes outrageous as financial reports contradict so and so without much fanfare.
