look in the mirror
I dunno there were people calling these adds cringe back in the day, 'Blizzard desperate', 'blizzard selling out', 'blizzard using celebes lol' are just some I remember.
Blizzard just using whatever is hot at the time, I mean using youtube by itself in 2006 was a trend move :P
Also Blizzard being tongue in cheek and taking shot at people dissing their game, thats old school Blizz I can appreciate the balls of them to do it. I used to love when Blizzard used to have balls to take shot at people shitting on them. (and this come from someone who shares a lot of the sentiments from the comments in that video)

I love Warcraft, I dislike WoW
Unsubbed since January 2021, now a Warcraft fan from a distance
Ads are basically ads, almost all of them are groan-worthy and cringe-inducing, only rarely producing art as cast off and happenstance. Advertisements go through weird memetic fads as well - and these seem like the same kind of deal, an attempt to advertise using the TikTok method, which a lot of companies are dipping their toes into. Kind of like brands on Twitter attempting to be relatable and just one of the kids, like a deranged 50-something uncle trying to fit in with the high school crowd.
"We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
Those ads look like they're promoting a mobile game.
You're free to be as skeptical as you like. I was responding to someone who said they were fake.
I don't know why you're looking for a discussions around social media ads. How many thousands of those do you think Blizzard has pumped out over the years and how many do you think ever get mentioned? Which I would argue makes it even less likely these are fake because honestly, who would waste the time making something so minutely controversial in the first place?
they're OK. Not great, but not bleh either.
People need to keep in mind this is a dragon's POV of those "Tweets". Of course they're going to come off as arrogant.
I miss the old ads. "I Never fake an Orc Chasm"
We're all newbs, some are just more newbier than others.
Just a burned out hardcore raider turned casual.
I'm tired. So very tired. Can I just lay my head on your lap and fall asleep?

Hey, maybe Blizzard finally picked up on how many people rage-purchase their expansions and finally decided to capitalize on that untapped market. Phenomenally stupid marketing scheme but anybody who's spent more than 5 minutes in the WoW discussion sphere understands how many of WoW's most critical customers are also their most profitable.
Oh, hey, one ad is actually still up for some reason! I guess, the question is more of: why the rest are gone? Maybe they simply decided to clean up the feed. This one also got nicer comments than some of the other ones. But I'll try to not overthink this.

I don't know what you're trying to be smug about, you gave no proof of them existing until 58 posts in. That's beyond strange since it's a failing on your part in the first place.
Maybe start with a link to prove it instead of trying to push your own YouTube channel next time and you'll find less skepticism?

Blizzard thought it's a good idea to defend beta boy Dwagthyr by showing their creepy visage and famelic form.
So they're trying to sell the game by provoking customers? Weird. Desperate, even.
Yeah those are stupid, but I'm definitely in the "all WoW ads/promos have been cringey" camp.
My face still hasn't recovered from the biblical-level cringe of the American Choppers fiasco.
