BM hunter nerf

Am I the only one worried about patch notes.
Pets dealing 35% less damage. how is such a nerf warranted ?

for mythic we are ranked 18th out of 25 dps speccs.
8th for raiding.

currently about 55% damage comes from pet, that would mean almost 20% nerf to damage...
thats insane.

It's an update to the tooltip. It has been like this for a very long time. Since BFA or something.

Not every spec is meant to be great especially when it comes to raiding since some specs are better at single target and others are better on multi target, for the average mythic player spec doesnt matter as long as you play it well, specs will never be properly balanced, dps players will always have that one spec thats just the best every expansion but the game doesnt require you to play FOTM builds as all content can be done playing good on any build.

The 35% deficit to pet damage has been there since they added the talent in BfA. What we saw just the other day is just a tooltip update. They did not change anything about the pet damage, in this case.

Beast Master is still under preforming next to MM, in single target as well as multi target. They always buff BM towards the end when it's too late! Sucks!

That will shift close together with Tier gear and the Neltharax bow, where BM probably overtakes MM in ST damage at least.

So is BM still the "pet cheerleader" spec, whistling and roaring like in Legion and BFA, or is it back to what every BM advocate secretly wants, AFK or bounce around the room while Fluffy does the work?

If you don't actively fight, your Fluffy wont deal any great damage, at all.
Majority of your pet damage is via barbed shot/frenzy gameplay.
Kill Command is used by you (although damage comes from pet), which is your 2nd highest priority, frenzy uptime being your 1st.
Kobra is literally an almost useless filler, that you only use to dumb focus and get some more KC's.

Sadly they nerfed the fun with using 1 barbed resetting KC to a 50% chance instead of 100%. I liked the "no kobra" gameplay.
