The inherently silly part of Tech614's argument is claiming to know exactly what will happen when nobody does. The repeated uses of "polished" also seem rather revisionist considering Mahomes was not considered the most "polished" passer in his draft, that was Trubisky, Mahomes was the athletically gifted riskier QB, the high ceiling low floor guy - even still, Mahomes played in a spread offense and Trubisky was always in shotgun, it gets harder to evaluate those guys.
Josh Rosen was also seen as the most pro-ready "polished" QB in his class and I don't think we need say more except that QB evaluation is not very reliable.
We can also look back on some "can't miss" QB prospects, like Winston & Mariota going #1 and #2, and neither of them stayed beyond their rookie deals.

Again, the biggest problem, and the reason you might still be right in the end, is how inexperienced Richardson is, with only one year as a starter. Dwayne Haskins and Kyler Murray had some substantial maturity issues. Another one year starter, Mark Sanchez, had some tough times thrown into the deep end as a rookie. Sanchez could have benefited from a softer transition, showing how important the situation these guys get drafted into can matter.

I think, if Richardson gets drafted into the right situation with the right coaches then he can thrive. The trouble, as others have pointed out, is too many inept NFL coaches see themselves incorrectly as the "right coaches" and will surely flub things. He is the swing for the fences pick, I still see him as the #3 QB prospect, and if you're not picking high enough to get the top two, and you're willing to be patient, then it can work out. I still see a minefield of shitty coaches that will probably ruin him, like the Raiders in particular, which I can already see unfolding gruesomely.

If things work out, he develops into Cam Newton, if not then he's Zach Wilson can't complete a pass and sets his franchise back. There are plenty of examples of guys like AR failing and succeeding, time will tell.

Cap Hell, blah blah blah same story for 10+ years.

Also Davenport is going to the Vikings on a one year deal, I'm fine with that I didn't want him back. Saints gonna have to get a lot of defense in the draft to replace what we've lost though.

Also, the Broncos have tossed out a lot of money in the past couple days as have the Falcons.

Raiders traded Darren Waller to the Giants, looks like a full teardown may be in process? Except they just signed Jacobi Meyers? IDK.

It's what McDaniels does. Purge the existing talent and bring in his own guys. It's why I can't help but think he'll be drafting an athletic QB from Florida that wears #15 again.

Freed up 11 mil in cap, eat 600k in dead money, 12 picks in this draft.

I'm not sure if this is a rebuild or a tank job.
Ex-Mod. Technically retired, they just won't let me quit.

So he has got rid of Cutler and Sheffler, just needs to find someone to take Marshall.

Wait, what year is it again?

Rodgers apparently wants OBJ, Lazard, Cobb, and Mercedes Lewis on the Jets.

If you want any idea of why the Packers have somehow not been good despite having Rodgers, this is why. The guy's a terrible GM, but being the GM is basically his demand to keep playing.

Patriots signed an OT from the Broncos, who I thought were in desparate need for upgrades at the O-line. Surely that will end well...

I'm hoping Belichick knows something we don't or that his plan is to draft a top shelf LT, cause this is not exactly comforting.

He did alright after Bolles got hurt. For some reason the coaches decided to put Cam Fleming at LT when Billy Turner wasn't injured instead. He did better when he got snaps in previous seasons, but that might have been a Mike Munchak difference compared to the idiot that got fired right after Hackett.

The issues with Denver's o-line was way more on Risner/Cushenberry being completely trash and Billy Turner sucking as a tackle than when Anderson was on the field. Plus Wilson was Wilson and made them look much worse than they actually played.

Chicago guy here, Da Bears. I think with trading the #1 pick and the haul they got, and so far the trades they've made in free agency, Da Bears are looking better, and with the draft next month, will get even better. And hopefully Justin Fields is the QB we hope he can be. I think in two years Da Bears will be a legit good team and one of the top teams in the NFC, but we will see. That's if JF1 is the QB stud we expect.

For now, the shocker is the Detroit Lions, they will be a very serious good team this year, no joke. Excellent trades and big picks in the draft this year, they already have a great offense and defense, the Lions will surprise a lot of people. Probably an 11 win team, and take the NFC North.

NY Jets, if douchebag Aaron Rodgers officially goes there, as much as I think Rodger is a weirdo, he's still a great QB, and with him on the Jets with something to prove, they will be a super good team.

And of course the KC Chiefs and Mahomes, you can't count them out. They'll be in the hunt for the Super Bowl again.

Yeah the Beat writers who rely on tape and not stories all seem to lowkey like this signing, but they also all assume that Anderson is not the main LT starter, but just the main back up/swing tackle if something happens with Trent Brown or whoever actually starts at LT.

Then again, if there's a rookie tackle and he's not ready I can totally see BB just rolling with Anderson at LT in the early season to see if he's got what it takes.

Can't say what his role would be without knowing the terms of his contract, all I see is "two years" and no financials.

Maybe if you listened to a bunch of idiots talk.

The inherently silly part of your reply is the fact you are wrong and the stats show as much. You could of just stayed out of the conversation before claiming a guy with 10,000 passing yards and 100 TDs in college wasn't a polished passer especially with the best arm in the draft on top of those stats.

But man oh man guys, silly Mahomes only played in the shot gun! You know like almost every QB who's a first round prospect does these days because most college offenses never go under center period unless it's a goal line situation.

Jets need to sign all those guys, then tell Rodgers to piss off.

I mean Texas Tech QBs have had a long established pedigree in the NFL prior to Mahomes. Oh. Wait.

That was the big knock on Mahomes, that the system he came from never produced good QBs for the NFL

Denver has signed a fullback, 2 linemen who are better run blockers than pass blockers, a blocking TE and a running back. Plus they tried to get a WR that is known as a good run blocker. Sean Payton is about to make Wilson the most expensive game manager in NFL history.

All that money and he still gonna do 3 spin moves behind the LOS with nobody around him and get sacked.

Looks like the Jets got Allen Lazard. The first Exodia card to unlocking Aaron Rodgers.

Well they got one so far, Lazard. Who's probably the best of the Packers castoffs that Rodgers wants to bring with him to make the Jets an older and worse football team.

We'll see what happens later today. Rodgers is going to be on the Pat Macafee Show and everyone in Wisconsin is convinced he'll announce the trade on it.

I thought the jets already had a good group of receivers? Just that they were kinda fresh, yet much better than what he had in gb last year.
