Just as this whole situation, it was a joke.

If I just ignore the strawmen where you claim I say things I didn't and move on... why do you fixate on stats like they're all that matters? Is that why Case Keenum and Kellen Moore became such huge NFL stars? Richardson threw for more yards and TDs than senior year Tom Brady, does that mean he's going to be better than Tom Brady? Your 'arguments' lack nuance.

Honestly your reply makes me think you didn't even read my post, aside from the word "silly" which was some kind of trigger.

Back to my original point, the thing about systems college QBs played in is that it makes evaluating them more difficult, that was the whole point of my post, Tech - That evaluation is difficult, you can't distill it to just numbers and act like you know everything, that would be silly.

The NFCS QBs are now Mayfield, Carr, Dalton and Heinicke unless any of those teams play whatever bad rookie or 2nd year QBs they have. At least 1 of them can be exciting sometimes.

I like Ridder on the Falcons, but only cause his name means "Knight" in dutch. Rooting for him.

Carr is the only one that is being counted on (and paid) to start 17 games.

Hard to know what will happen elsewhere, never can tell how ready those rookies will be until they start practicing.

They do. Like Lazard on them is probably a 3 at best. Which will make this interesting to see if the Jets torpedo their young core to satisfy Rodgers' demands to play washed vets.

At least it will soon be New York's problem and not Green Bay's. Now we can actually develop a modern offense.

I don't know why so many people are down on Ridder. Guy Cincinatti to the CFB Playoffs and showed improvement in every game he started last season. I'm more down on Arthur Smith than I am Ridder.

Zeke has been released. the 214 bromance is no more. I am sad, even if it was the correct thing to do

I only saw him at his worst, so as a division rival I just see him as non-threatening.

Covers some of the defensive losses they got hit with and getting what looks to be a power back to compliment Kamara is a good thing, wish he was more of a pass catching threat but we'll see how they use him.

He did some receiving with the Packers, so it can be part of his game. No idea how he is with screens since that's what we like to do.

Its the "we can fix him!" hopium.

I am split on Rodgers. He just looked checked out from game 2 last season. Not physically but mentally. Its why I'm not really betting against him, but I am also not betting in his favor due to how he likes to run things.

The Jets best bet is that he's pissed off and feels he has something to prove. That's a good thing for almost every QB that is worth a damn. Not sure he is though. He seems upset with the media from his quotes, but nto sure that's motivation enough.

Then again, he's about to be fed to the NY media circus, so who knows how pissed off he gets before the season starts...

Apparently Mac Jones started following TE Mike Gesicki and Gesicki started following the Patriots. And he has a connection with Bill O'Brien from being at Penn State.

That post was before I had read that Rodgers was "90% sure" he was retiring after coming out of darkness. Sounds like he just told the Packers he was done unless they could find a trade that could meet his demands, and to his surprise actually found one.

Yeah Rodgers used to be great at miracle comebacks but he's lost that skill a while ago.

So I was listening to the local ESPN on the way home and heard a great point.

Who the hell is in charge of this team right now?

Who let Rodgers get on the Mcafee show and just eviscerate this organization from top to bottom? And sure, maybe they tried to stop him but he had two feet out the door and didn't listen; but then who, with advance notice, decided to just stay totally silent today and not defend yourselves or tell your side of the situation?

OT Orlando Brown Jr. to the Bengals on a big deal. This is probably why they let both their safeties walk. No way you can afford Brown AND those 2 guys.

I'd like to say they run a lot of screens still but I'm not really sure they do anymore. Even in Brees last couple years the screen game had fallen off.

Guess they just want to focus on getting the trade done and getting him the fuck out the door first THEN they can shit talk him.

Right, cause if Rodgers was 90% retirement, then maybe he'd still reconsider just retiring if things don't go his way, which would ruin the Packers cap this year. They want him traded, not retired. If I were the Packers I;d walk on eggshells too.

Then again, they seem to be in a staring match with the Jets about compensation to see who blinks first, so they may have more balls than I would have in this situation.
