You could of just stayed out of the conversation before claiming a guy with 10,000 passing yards and 100 TDs in college wasn't a polished passer especially with the best arm in the draft on top of those stats.

I mean Texas Tech QBs have had a long established pedigree in the NFL prior to Mahomes. Oh. Wait.

That was the big knock on Mahomes, that the system he came from never produced good QBs for the NFL

The fun part of reading Mahomes draft profile now, and seeing his listed weaknesses, is that all of them are true, it just hasn't mattered much since the positives outweighed them - impatient, forces risky throws, doesn't take what the defense gives him, all accurate, but its worked for him more often than not.

Back to my original point, the thing about systems college QBs played in is that it makes evaluating them more difficult, that was the whole point of my post, Tech - That evaluation is difficult, you can't distill it to just numbers and act like you know everything, that would be silly.

Carr is the only one that is being counted on (and paid) to start 17 games.

Hard to know what will happen elsewhere, never can tell how ready those rookies will be until they start practicing.

They do. Like Lazard on them is probably a 3 at best. Which will make this interesting to see if the Jets torpedo their young core to satisfy Rodgers' demands to play washed vets.

At least it will soon be New York's problem and not Green Bay's. Now we can actually develop a modern offense.

Covers some of the defensive losses they got hit with and getting what looks to be a power back to compliment Kamara is a good thing, wish he was more of a pass catching threat but we'll see how they use him.

I'm surprised that my friends who are Jets fans are actually excited about getting Aaron Rodgers. Selling the farm to get an old, controversial qb to try to win now feels like the most "lol Jets" move possible.

I am split on Rodgers. He just looked checked out from game 2 last season. Not physically but mentally. Its why I'm not really betting against him, but I am also not betting in his favor due to how he likes to run things.

That post was before I had read that Rodgers was "90% sure" he was retiring after coming out of darkness. Sounds like he just told the Packers he was done unless they could find a trade that could meet his demands, and to his surprise actually found one.

Right, cause if Rodgers was 90% retirement, then maybe he'd still reconsider just retiring if things don't go his way, which would ruin the Packers cap this year. They want him traded, not retired. If I were the Packers I;d walk on eggshells too.

Then again, they seem to be in a staring match with the Jets about compensation to see who blinks first, so they may have more balls than I would have in this situation.
