I agree, iron out the field maintenance before the WC. Last year after the sounders stopped playing the field looked really bad in Seattle. Washed out and almost gray looking.

A good portion of the stadiums are probably not switching to permanent grass(unless the NFL requires it). They can just bring in temp grass like they do when clubs play in the states. This grass would suck really bad for american football and be a worse slip and slide than the super bowl was.

Like I know some are converting, but places like Atlanta I dunno how you even get permanent grass there. It was not built for it like Arizona/Vegas. A lot of indoor stadiums are in similar situations. You also have stadiums like cinci that is below the water table and next to the Ohio River so the grass would need a massive engineering feat to work there.

In an ideal world they could all switch, but seems unlikely. Not sure what Metlifes excuse is for their shitty turf though, grass should work fine there?

I made the mistake of looking at the replay of Chubb's injury, looks real bad. That hit is also extremely dirty, diving at someone's legs when they are already being taken to the ground shouldn't be a thing.

Not sure why Watson is allowed to keep putting his hands on people he shouldn't. Guess the refs figured the Browns are worse off with him playing QB so they didn't eject him.

But, in his defense the play calling has been horrendous, the offensive line still not that good, so it's hard to tell if it's ll Fields being terrible, or a combination of Fields, bad coaching and bad O line?

But for what it's worth--the last I saw someone post PFF rankings (for what they're worth): the Bears line is really not bad. It isn't amazing, but it's not a mess/bottom tier unit and I don't think they're to blame. But there's some chicken or the egg with this one.

Playcalling looks pretty suspect and not doing him any favors. But the eye test looks like Fields is just flat out bad. He had so many plays where he demonstrates awful pocket awareness. Maybe I'm a hater--but he isn't it.

The game looks a lot tougher on him/he's getting a reality check without having Olave and Wilson creating 5+ yards of separation and torching the shit out of everyone.

This is why I would never trust an OSU QB to draft as long as Brian Hartline in there. They have had 3-5 1st round WRs on their roster since 2018 onward, against college DBs. Hell Jameson Williams transferred away from OSU so he could get on the field, this is how stacked they are. You would have to be a beyond terrible QB to not light it up.

Olave and Wilson already have 1000 yard seasons and they've both made spectacular catches this year. Plus they did most of that with Dalton and Wilson as their QBs, so that is a lot of talent elevating Fields at Ohio State.

He resigned today and the media not saying much other than being very vague probably leans toward the rumors having at least some truth to them.

Maybe the Bears should hold him back in the 8th grade so when he hits high school he is a year old where he can just run over the other kids. Or wait maybe they can sue so he can enter the transfer portal when he can't beat out Fromme at UGA for the starting job? Fields will soon be a backup..then figuring out something to do other than football. I'll stand by my comment that he's a bust pick from the day the Bears picked him.
