Can I make a browser shortcut to latest post in a thread?

Remember messing about with it but the closest solution I found only work as far as latest post in current page.
As soon as a page is full and another page of said thread starts it will continue pointing towards, I guess the cached page last updated in my cookies.
Any fully working solution that work with MMOC version, structure whatnot?

The code I played with was <...>?&goto=newpost which as described worked wonders. Untill a new page is created

I believe adding "?goto=newpost" to any thread URL would do this. For example:

https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...F?goto=newpost

Should go to the latest unread post in the thread https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...2-months-of-DF irrespective of the page that the post occurs on. Also, you only need the ID of the thread itself and not the extended title, so the URL https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...6?goto=newpost would work equally well.

Thats the ting, last unread could be pages ago in a thread cos that code doesnt ask the .db before it directs the browser to goto "last" post.
It's oblivious about if new pages and posts got added.
Just a minor issue but would be nice use of a working code in terms of all megathreads that can grow 5 pages in 30mins etc

Add a high page number to the URL: https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...DF/page9999999 and that'll get you to the last page. There isn't any way to get to the last post AFAIK.

Thats the ting, last unread could be pages ago in a thread cos that code doesnt ask the .db before it directs the browser to goto "last" post.
It's oblivious about if new pages and posts got added.

Point is to have a single bookmark that automatically hits last page of the bookmarked thread. It's no work really but I'm very curious by nature and wanne get fixes for even small details

Tested it now when I knew I wouldnt have current page cashed, doesnt work. At least not on the Ukraine thread 1400+ pages. Usec the exact you pasted and just swapped url

That'll only get you to the last post you have read IIRC, not the last post in the thread.

What URL are you going to and what page do you end up on? Opening https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...raine/page9999 takes me to the last page (currently 1487)

Even with incognito mode that works as you described. I wonder why it doesnt for him.
