How long would an average player level from 1-70?

A friend of mine that hasnt played since early Cata, recently subbed to the game again. He has played a couple of hours the last week or so, and he is sitting at lvl 55 now. One of the first things he said was that leveling was so fast. I dont have the hours played, but I cant imagine its much.

He was somewhat happy with the quick leveling. He found it weird though that he would reach 60 long before completing a xpac full set of zones.


Then again, you can reach 70 in DF withouth being halfway done with campaign.

Seems to me a lot of the game gets wasted when leveling up too fast.
