During BfA I have created 5 accounts that were connected to an account, that I am not using anymore.
Can I now buy a 6-month sub, cancel it, and get the rewards up to the mecha mount on the account I am actually using?

If they are linked in the RAF system, you can buy a 6 month subscription but you won't achieve the rewards until the 6 months have passed (if you need 6 months to achieve anything in the old, or waiting for the new which only lasts 6 months)
