Cheaper, and with little thought put into it. I mean expansions have even gone from a semblance of coherence and connectivity to, well, from WoD to DF.

They call it bad scalability of content. That's when you add some feature to game and then have to support it forever, that increases budget of all future xpacks. New class = extra class mechanics, like covenant abilities, and extra class set in every content patch. That's why Blizzard hate a) New classes b) Class sets.

How the fuck do maghar orcs, which means uncorrupted orc, who when exposed to demonic energy become just normal orcs. Be warlocks (and dh) and not then just be normal orcs?
Same for draenei becoming eredar. But atleast there it's not already a playable race.

I see an easy handwaive in that MU Orcs got turned green by their entire society switching to Fel fuel, which pretty much steeped everyone in the energy, even those not using it, like a worse second-hand smoking.

Individuals using the Fel (or Arcane) don't need to have their physical form altered immediately, as evidenced by many other mortal Warlocks not developing horns or getting discolored skin.
Only long-term use has effects, such as the arcane effects on the Blood Elves (using the Fel merely turned their eyes green, but didn't affect their whole bodies unless they truly gave in to the Fel and became Felblood.

Alternatively, the Orcs found a herb that halts the effect of Fel on their skin color.

The Dragonmaw can be warlocks, and their skin doesn’t change to green.

Mag’har are the only orcs that can have the dragonmaw skin tones. It’s that simple.

I was never a fan of Orc Mages, still aren't.

IMO, Shamans are already Orc Magi. That's the role they originally played in the RTS games, as spellcaster counterparts to the Alliance Magi, who equally had mastery over the elements.

I feel like the lore behind having all Mages use Arcane magic was unnecessary. Simply keeping it as different methods of harnessing the elements would have been fine, and Orc Mages could easily be adapted as Shamans who prefer to focus on one particular element, while 'Arcane' is merely an abstraction of harnessing energy (using Shamanism) of Leylines that are native to Azeroth.

I would definitely be down with them fleshing it out like that. If we ever get a race expansion. They could actually throw that in. Making orc mages a mage approx where in fact they are shaman that have specialised in the arcane energy abstract rather than full in mages after the elven/human vein. They would spend time in Dalaran vs the Maelstrom , but that’s the back drop.

Idk if you know but orcs skin is supposed to be brown. Corruption is shown in them by turning green, red, or grey, like you have shown in said pictures. So thank you for proving my point. Also that's the whole point, orcs are very susceptible to changing skin tones, why simply working underground, living in caves, being around a type of magic, or getting a thing called red pox will change their skin tones.

Ok so let me explain something to ya.

If you get a shirt and cover it in ketchup it will become red.

You can also get a shirt and cover it in red wine, and it will also become red.

That does not fucking mean they are the same thing.

But even if Fel magic does make your skin grey… Mag’har have grey skin tones so your “grr they have the wrong skin color to be warlocks” argument would be flawed.

Those aren't real problems Tanaria.

The playerbase would disagree - especially those who don't want to play elf warlocks and want green fire.
If your going to give night elves (of all races) green fire from the start, then you give it to all the races who can be Warlocks. From Orcs to Mechagnomes to Vulpera to Void Elves to Forsaken to Nightborne to all the others.

And the lore as to why night elves can't look like normal warlocks? Why can't they?
I'd rather Blizzard spend more time adding in Night Elf Paladins with cool saber paladin mounts and have them look normal, than having demon hunter-locked night elf warlocks which don't really make sense.
