It has been a long time, but well worth the wait. Looking forward to seing Fishbones06's and the others' wonderful cosmetic glyphs and custom class colors ingame soon

Scarlet Blood Elf Paladin, Blue Fire Mage, Moon Priest Night Elf, Totemic Tauren Paladin - what are you most looking forward to?
It's not confirmation that this is going to happen, though. At the absolute best, this only means it's confirmation that they've seen the idea floating around the community, an acknowledgement to the fact this idea exists within the community.

I mean, it's nice to know they're listening, and more ways to customize our characters are always nice, but there's still a huge distance between "we heard you" and "we're using this idea".

It's funny that they're now wanting to do cosmetic glyphs through the trading post of all places.

They've been very adamant about wanting spell visuals to be "clearly distinguishable" for PvP.

They could at least start this effort by bringing back all the inscription crafted cosmetic glyphs they've axed over the years, such as the Glyph of Ascendance and no doubt a bunch more like it:

That’s kinda dope, shame they got rid of it.

I also think that the “customization” section for the trading post could be much more than only glyphs.

They’ve already made character customization unlockable (dark ranger & night warrior) so they could add some new stuff like that to the trading post.
But idk how I’d feel about it, I just hope they wouldn’t lock anything massive customization wise behind the trading post. (Like Eredar customization for example)

I personally would love a glyph for Void Elves that disable the ''void effect'' when proccing their damage increase racial.

I love all the High Elf customization and this is one of the last nails I personally see make it useful to play the traditional High Elf role.

Yeah after reading the wowhead summary of the article, I really don't think this is CONFIRMED at all. It might happen, but it's hardly confirmed.

    Aren't all glyphs cosmetic?

Maybe, but the part you quoted is completely uninteresting.

Probably won't get it, but I'd like glyphs that completely change how a class looks to fit a specific type of lore archetype.

So like I'd love a glyph that makes a Hunter's ability look like a Dark Ranger's. Or a glyph that changes the aesthetic of Warlock DoTs to look more like a Necromancer - maybe even customize the Warlock demons to undead + their fel armor can give them a bone armor look.

I'd also love a glyph for Priests that make all of their holy healing spells shadowy like a fallen Priest. Would be cool for Forsaken Priest RP purposes.

Well, just because you didn't understand what the developers meant hardly makes it uninteresting. Of course they weren't talking about the ones already in the game, why would they? They are already in the game. Many of us got what they were talking about regarding glyphs like Fishbone06, and the Korean interviewer specifically mentioned class skins at the beginning of the segment in written form.

All that's left now is wait and see

Cosmetic glyphs are an actual existing ingame feature. He isn't talking about class skins.

Read the translated English question shown in the video at the bottom of the original Korean text, and there you will find "class skins" as a feature written besides new cosmetic glyphs. It's at 11:26-11:31

Question. I.e. what the interviewer said. Not what Ion said. Ion isn't talking about them.

Ion is seen agreeing with Holly's answer -> Confirmation that Ion and Holly both agree about the topic.

You can agree with the general gist of an answer without agreeing with the details. And again, what you quoted has nothing to do with the topic.

Yeah they lie like they breath, overpromising and deluding themselves and then getting surprised when things don't pan out.

The REAL question is, when are they going to give the Stormblast spell animation back to enhancement shaman? Because while it looks like they're receptive to the idea of cosmetic glyphs, this is in no way a confirmation of anything.

Just because you refuse to acknowledge what is being said time and time again doesn't mean it becomes any less relevant.I don't know why some people genuinely try to say no to anything new, but well, it's their loss I guess. Point still remains that Ion confirmed it, and all we have to do is wait, whether this news is positive or negative to you personally

You insisting it means something different from what he actually says doesn't make it so. Ion didn't confirm anything. He only said they like seeing what the community comes up with.

On that note, he said they (the developers) like to see what the community comes up with, and they (again, the developers) want to implement them into the game. -> These features (class skins and new cosmetic glyhs) specifically are on the radar. I just hope they won't introduce them through the auction house, but rather they open up glyphs and class skins as their own respective categories under the collections tab for everyone to pursue. Inscription as a profession can be expanded along the lines of vantus runes and other optional non-cosmetic stuff anyways, just like alchemy does.
