I think them being able to be all classes except for the one that require assets (pala, druid, shaman) is likely.
I will not reply to posts that are non-constructive or contain flaming and/or trolling.

I know it's a thing. Doesn't mean it's not a stupid thing that makes no sense. Lightforged are zealots, fanatics, no way in hell they would be warlocks, but ok, who cares, the story is fucking stupid anyway nowadays.

Agreed I do think LFD warlocks are silly.

I could’ve accepted it if there was at least holy customization options for their demons. But nah it’s straight up using fel & shadow magic

Shaman doesn't make sense as Dracthyr revere the Dragons and the Titans. They do not worship the Elements.

Rogue makes no sense as Dracthyr are loyal, valiant soldiers of the Dragonflights. They do desert the army to become thieves. If the Dragonflights need an enemy position infiltrated then that's what mages and shapeshifting is for.

The Dragonflights fought against the demons during the War of the Ancients. They would abhor fel magic. Obviously no Warlocks or Demon Hunters.

The Dragonflights do not worship the Light. No Priests or Paladins. Only evil NPC Villain Dracthyr tampered with the Void and they all died in the same patch they were introduced so no shadow priests either.

No Dracthyr Death Knights as they were all in stasis when the Scourge happened. The BFA Death Knight thing is lorebreaking. In Wrath, the Ebon Blade viewed their undeath as a misfortune and wouldn't wish that upon anybody. They shouldn't be raising more people.

Druidism does not felt Dracthyr aesthetically. They are already strong dragons and wield powerful magics, no need to waste time bothering with shapeshifting.

Likewise, Dracthyr monks and hunters are weird aesthetically. A Dracthyr's strongest weapon is their claws and their magics. Forgoing that to use their palms or to draw a bow or shoot a gun would be silly.

Warriors are really the only other class that would make sense for Dracthyr and would not look dumb.

Could add a spec around Nether Dragon powers, phase shifting in and out of reality. Translucent appearance.
Priests and Paladins does not need to worship Light. Night elves, Zandalari and Darkspears, Tauren, Pandaren, gnomes, goblin... These races are not really Light worshipers and still have priests and some even paladins. Dracthyr priests could be draconic seers, dracthyr paladins could be some elite protectors of dragons. Think of Alexstrasza's queensguard.

Rogues could go well with Black Talons and Wrathion could train them well.

Dracthyr druids could be those who worked more closely with Green Flight and dedicated themselves to protection of Dream. They can shapeshift to visage anyway, so it feels like they would just add to their ability to change forms.

So which ones are you most looking forward too? The Dragons have touched nearly all aspects of life and lore of Azeroth and beyond.
IF they get other classes added, then they will 100% get every class in the game, because that's what they're going to do to all other races. Wouldn't make sense that they for example can't be warlocks if all classes can be.

The easy ones would be shaman, warrior, mage, rogue, hunter, and monk probably.
And not druid? the greens are basically druids

    I only voted druid.

Because a dragon turning into a cat to be capable of doing more damage is so absurd that i can only approve.

Essentially I think they’re gonna be every class after DF excluding DHs.

They added DK eyes to Dracthyr sometime after 10.0, which would be weird if they had no intention of adding DKs to them.
(For context, allied races didn’t get DK eyes until the patch they were added)

DHs just wouldn’t make sense. Also how would Glide work if you’ve got both the class glide and the racial glide. Double wings? Lol.

Paladin and Priest, would suit them well.

Selfishly hope paladin because the extra mobility from Glide would be insane.

If anything this makes me think they'll make Drakanoid a race instead of giving Dracthyr traditional classes.

Having wings would create some weird interactions with certain classes, but removing them or making them cosmetic only seems like it'd be a waste. Do we know of any wingless Dracthyr?

After stupid combos like nelf mage, undead or NB monk and now LF warlocks... Everything is fair game, just open the damn floodgates.

Yeah, people in this thread don't seem to understand how stupidly powerful Dracthyr racials are.

  16. #36
Glide isn’t nearly as OP as people think. There are other races with “mobility” racials and they’re fine.
Meanwhile you have races like Mechagnomes who get a free cheat death, taunt, augment rune, lockpick, and every profession tool.

Depends if they add more customization. Right now they look pretty bad.
