buying gold with rl money is exploiting in my book though
Yeah... Token totally changed everything and was not just cash grab...
The funnienst thing is they even blocked BT entry for 1 week... and bots are already back here, LOL.
Stop showing number how many you've banned - i really dont care anymore.
You have to finally hire 2 or 3 people who will just sit here and check manually 1 by 1 'player' in these dungeons.
It is the only possible way to make it unprofitable.
They banned 167k accounts in the last month, and you somehow think having 2-3 people to check across all servers and all regions is going to be superior?
You do realize by the time a manual worker is done with like 50, 48 of them will be back on another account right? Not to mention that quite a few of the dks on your picture seem like legit toon names so you can't even tell with just a /who if they're bots or players who just want to farm it for gold

How about do it... additionally to already existing tools?
99% time when you have spectate rights you can be 100% sure it is bot within a few seconds by manually checking their routes/moves inside dungeon/raid.
I've seen many admins doing it on private servers and or even banning them live on stream.
If they REALLY want to remove bots from the game that would be perfect solution to do it.
Now you can imagine pushing the idea even further... and Ion do it live on stream just for 1 hr... that would be 10/10 content on Twitch/YT.
I'm sorry, you want Blizzard to stream how they handle bots? That's like offering the way to circumvent the system on a platter to bots.
Not to mention, I don't think it needs to be stressed how big of a difference there is between private server bots and official server bots and which is going to have a larger issue.
And you realize I was talking about in addition to current tools, right? There's absolutely nothing 2-3 people would be able to accomplish besides a very small delay.

I think a lot of people would like to see bizzard expand their customer services again rather then what we currently have. Having a GM per realm actively searching out and banning bots would do a lot to effect how profitable it would. You can't get rid of it entirely but you can really, really impact it.
I think at this point people are just a little apathetic on blizzards mass ban that takes so long the bots earn more then they cost ensuring nothing ever gets better.
The only really big plus from having GMs for servers would be in ticket response speed, which I feel like people don't realize how much time that would take up alone on top of dealing with bots.
That would look better for Blizzard for the players since many miss being able to actually chat with a GM, but there's no way they'd be about to deal with it faster than an automated system for the bots. Blizzard has just been very silent about the action they've been taking until now.

So ya'lls problem is you don't see the bots being banned? Should Blizzard have a giant beam of light every time it happens? Or perhaps round them all up in the center of Dalaran and have a public execution?
I agree and disagree... botting is usually very, very noticable a gm scanning an area in real time should be able to get rid of them rarely quickly... the customer response times should be better given that auto silencing happens from false reports. It really sucks to play wow without group finder or chat for three to four days as you wait for a gm to overturn it.
If nobody bought gold, bots would be gone.
First of all no shit but massively changing the behavior of people is not a problem for blizzard to solve...by that logic if corporations stopped putting their profits over people maybe things wouldn't suck so bad
Second probably not won't be as many farm bots but people using pvp bots or fishing/mining bots would probably stay the same
