The tool is neat, went back through 2 months of my most recent posts and everything was 99.9% human except two posts that were 40-60% human and those posts were only 1-2 sentences long. Since this made me curious I told chatgpt to: "Write a paragraph defending myself that my posts are not created by an AI". This was its response:

"As an individual, I am proud to affirm that my posts are a genuine reflection of my thoughts, opinions, and unique personality. Each word, sentence, and idea presented in my content stems from my personal experiences, emotions, and knowledge. The depth and complexity of my posts are a testament to the authenticity of my human nature. I invest time and effort in crafting each message, carefully selecting words to express my feelings and perspectives. My posts are imbued with the essence of creativity and individuality, as only a human mind can achieve. I firmly assert that my contributions are not generated by artificial intelligence but are an honest representation of my true self."

Then I ran it through the AI detector and it shows 85.2% probability for AI, and goes up to 90% when adding just the quotations to the paragraph.

Edit: I put it through the system again with my first paragraph included and it now says "This is human text" with it at 48.6% human.

Heh, I'm coming back at around ~80% AI on a lot of my responses, and last I checked I wasn't an OpenAI product. But then, maybe that's exactly what an AI would say if it was trying to pass itself off as a fellow human.

Yea, someone who writes perfect English would be easily accused of being a robot. I got a friend who writes full academic on Discord and everywhere, that would be so unfair. I’m pretty sure in some of my responses i would get an Ai content result, that is if I am in the mood to write in a non lazy English.

Agreed. But that's also because there's a secret meta in the politics forum where everyone is trying to get everyone they disagree with banned all the time.

Maybe it's because posters on the far right end on the spectrum are always speaking from a position of bad faith that they tend to get infracted and banned more than others.

Instead of always playing the professional victim, perhaps some introspection might be in order. Oh wait, who am I kidding right?

I have been a firm believer that the politics forum just needs to be removed entirely and any political threads that get posted in Geb-OT need to be nuked and the users banned. This forum has been on a landslide for years because of the politics subforum, IMO. It's why Twitter and other sites are garbage too, politics ruins the community. Not to mention the America centric focus of Politics is obnoxious as hell. A lot of people here don't live in America and we don't care about their politics.

All the AI uses a very very similar language model. I've asked bard.google and chatGPT to produce something for me and they both come back with the exact same thing. Give it ~3-5 years and AI detectors won't be able to tell who is who.
