    An idea to for Acracne

    Had an idea, a way to change up the abilities and remove the spammy nature of Arcane while making it possibly more fun.

    Mana no longer matters like fire and ice. Arcane Charges still cap at 4 and are our primary resourse.

    Arcane explosion: removed

    Arcane Blast: No longer grants arcane charges. 2 second cast -.25 sec per charge. Forks to up to 4 targets for 20% damage preferring targets afflicted with nether tempest tempest. Hits 1 less target per arcane charge. Beam animation is larger with more charges.

    Nether tempest: instant, core ability, costs 1 arcane charge, max 4 active at once. Lasts 8 seconds. Can stack multiple on a target to increase duration, not damage. Damage from nether tempest has a 10% chance to proc clearcasting per target hit.

    Clearcasting: reduces the recharge time for arcane orb if it is on CD by 50% for 1 use/charge and prevents the next cast of Arcane orb from consuming a use/charge.

    Arcane orb: 1.5 second cast, 2 use/charges. 4 second CD. Explodes when it hits your target doing damage in an area. Generates an arcane charge. Orb size and area increases with the number of arcane charges you have.

    Arcane missiles: consumes all arcane charges and fires additional missiles for each charge. Worth casting at 4 charges. 25% chance per arcane charge spent to grant clearcasting. Castable while moving.
    Optional 2nd talent: hits up to 5 targets, increased targets per charge.

    Arcane barrage: instant, costs 1 arcane charge, 8 sec CD. bonus damage based on arcane charge on casts. No longer shotguns
    Optional 2nd talent: slow

    Arcane power: 2 min CD. grants bonus spell power and haste,

    Evocation: 4 second channel(hasted), grants up to 4 arcane charges. 2 min CD. Castable while moving.
    Optional 2nd talent: reduce CD to 60 sec or channel time to 2 seconds.

    I have an idea for arcane. When it will be added it will be always godlike. Basically mana stays always in 100%.

    Mana is the what the entire spec is based around since it's inception.

    Not quite, if you spec into Arcane Surge then this, along with Evocation, makes mana a lot less important than it used to be. Basically your main dps cooldown is giving all of your mana back from a burn phase.

    Would love to see Arcane reworked to a tank spec where all your dmg reduction is about keeping your mana full and your toolkit is D3 wizard arcane spells (disintegrade, spectral blades, etc.).

    Nether Precision has been an absolute travesty of an addition to the spec in my opinion; it used to be the case that spending your clear casting stacks felt like you were opening the floodgates and just barraging your opponent with countless chaotic missiles, but now it's barely worth casting for the damage and is just there to buff arcane blast.

    It's awful, arcane has never felt worse in my opinion.
    Yea. It was better when we just had two buttons and didn’t have to think that much. It was relaxing and fun. I think this nether tempest is completely useless, but we have to spec it because it unlocks other talents we need.

    I do like arcane as it is, what I maybe would like reversed is Arcane Blast and Arcane Missiles.

    Make Arcane Missiles the generator and Arcane Blast the spender on clear casts. (And maybe reduce casttime by 20% for each AC)

    Have Arcane Missiles fire more projectiles if you have more AC.

    Allow target swapping durring channeling of AM? Why is this not a thing already?

    Not to disrespect you, but while Arcane now is just overly complex and thus unappealing for many, your approach swings too much the other way:
    One rotation for AoE and ST, one single ressource that is very simple to use (basically a non brainer, since you only have one generator that you press on CD). Rotation on ST is basically the Cata 4.3 rotation: Arcane Blast and really nothing else. Maybe missles, but they have to hit REALLY hard to offset the damage of 4+ lost ABs.

    And then you have 3 options for AoE/Cleave, which seem mutually exclusive. Also, again: A single generator limits your gameplay harshly.

    That whole Idea just reads like an Legion Affliction lock without DoTs. And an Affliction Lock with no DoTs is not a very good concept.

    Also you can not cast AM if you don't have clearcasting. Maybe a bit much but they could even have no clearcasting buff and just fire AM instead of the buff. Most players will macro it anyway now the spell can only be cast with the buff.

    I can see a use to safe the buff for fights with movement, but you need to talent into slipstream. I wish that one was baseline.

    Nether tempest was fun for one patch in legion when it did all your damage with a meme build. But im happy its gone. Never really fit into arcane.

    It might be me but I find Arcane Explosion weird to use since it requires you to be in melee range. What if after doing a cast of Arcane Barrage your next # Arcane Blast triggers an Arcane Explosion at the target? Where # is the number of targets hit by Arcane Barrage?
