I laughed at how many people died from the Murlocs next to Goldshire at launch. Guess where I died at lvl 7?

Since then, not dead but I play BG3 as well as having 3 kids and a wife. So I'm just lvl 20 rogue and lvl 6 paladin so far. But playing super safe, not even been close to dying.

Still on my first level 22 character and going strong! (Haven’t had much time to play). Had one near miss in silver pine. On the island there is a destroyed town full of knolls. Another group of 4 just cleared it so I went in there thinking it would be a piece of cake… and they all respawned. Had 3 following me and they respawned by the numbers in all the exits. Luckily I am a Hunter and an Engineer. So was able to drop the target dummy, send my pet in and Hearth the F out of there.

46, was in a zf run and cleared all bosses but some others still needed troll temper so we killed more. We ended up pulling two of the bigger packs and I got healing aggro on like four mobs, I basically panicked cos everyone was like half hp and I was afraid to heal everyone up incase I got more mobs on me. I ended up just deciding to run out but I foulishly forgot about mob repspawns and died like 20y from the portal lol.

Everyone else lived though, don't know if I helped by pulling my mobs away but I like to think I did xD, I honestly thought I'd be more mad about it all but I was just kind of eh...then started leveling again.

Decided to give HC a go and started an Orc Warrior Saturday. Went pretty good, no close calls day 1 but I didn't have much time to play. Got to level 11 Sunday and was killing crocs for the amulet. A hunter was also killing them near me, and a pair of crocs pulled to me, he shot one but it never took agro and I got nuked. Had like 15sec left on a potion. I think I'll either try a hunter or rogue next. What I know for sure is I'm making a bank toon to send excess money and unbound gear that I'm not using to. I'm bound to fuck up again, so at least I could have a little advantage the next go.

I saw someone die in front of me. I tried to throw a heal on them but they were pvp flagged

died due to bad pull during the battle of hillsbrad quest (the one where you need to kill the mayor, its a suicide mission)

Not playing currently, but if I was I would surely be dead to server disconnects.

Just died on my level 16 rogue to a Son of Arugal. I saw the thing, I kept my distance but got distracted for a few seconds and suddenly he is all up in my ass. Sprint was also on CD >_<

Next run will be on Alliance (probably as a gnome warlock) as I've seen the Horde starting zones to many times by now. Their zones will be a lot busier which I'm not looking forward to.

I keep having Dreams where my Warcraft character dies. Is this normal?

38 rogue died to dc while attacking the mob somewhat i believe adds got spawned then pulled while i was trying to get back in fast i could but was "dc" 2-3 times.

29 hunter died to dc while on flight and fell to death. (I know, i was shockedl)

lvl 15 warlock died to hyperspawn in cave that i was certain expecting for escape but didn't make it.

Most thing i hate is "DC" issue like really man it's your fucking end blizzard.

Taking a long break from it now.

On hardcore servers? Because Blizzard fixed that and if you disconnect while flying, you'll be teleported to where you come from (point A if you're moving from A to B).

Then i do not know what caused it. I'm going to wild guess maybe one of those addon cause an Interfere to coding of transportation system however it works. I'm pretty certain there are people who did experience fell thru floor from the open world specific areas on hardcore..

Lvl 11, westfall mines. Someone's 3 mobs ran to me and that was it. Hyperspawns and someone elses mob group aggros suck.

As far as I know, addons do not interfere with WoW's code; they only interfere with other addons. It's highly unlikely that Blizzard would allow an addon to modify the source code.

Additionally, there are numerous gaps in dungeons where you can fall off, which can be problematic for Warriors with Charge abilities. However, there are ways to bypass this issue. If your character starts falling, you can quickly press ALT + F4, and you'll be teleported to the graveyard without dying.

I also suspect that there are still flaws in what Blizzard has fixed. I believe that some players may still experience fall damage after relogging.

Oh wow i never knew that... i thought hardcore has its own ruling that you cannot avoid certain death. Nice to know and thanks!

Lvl 32 hunter, managed to die in Ashenvale in a cave with Insane druids quest. Was really unfortunate, had cleared all the rogues around, and was ready for the mob, but my pets struggled to keep agro, and the druid kept healing himself to full about 3 times when he was about to die, and I was backing up cause I got agro, and there was a rogue somehow that I had not cleared or a respawn. And then I panicked, I had already used feign on the druid to get rid of agro, so I didnt have it up, I had potion which I used but I felt stuck, my pet was about to die too and the druid healed himself to full again. A shame, but my first character in HC, I think I got pretty far, had been playing like a big coward too, took no risks except maybe this time. I thought I had control but then I got fked.

Wasn't that Dire Maul? I've seen such a clip few years ago from unofficial HC and that definitely happened in DM.
Also I think that can be classified as bug - critters should not social aggro mobs.
update: I just saw it... so it happened again, lol Blizz will never fix BS like this

I'm playing a rogue because that seemed to be a safe bet. Deathlog statistics show that rogue is one of the worst choices by far. Yeah it's way too squishy.
I'm playing way too safe, it's becoming boring because I avoid almost every risky situation so I'm never in trouble.

I died on my lvl 23 Druid.
Felt comftable because it was not my first Druid.

In the south Barren i saw Hagg Taurenbane, a lvl 26 Elite.
I cleard all around him, prepared to fight and went hard on him...

Got him down to 15%, then Mobs spawned right next to me so i paddled back and my stupid ass run in an Area i did not clear and addet 2 stealth Quilboars...
Right as i wantet to run away he Harmstringed me or slowed with some ability and i, a lvl 23 Tauren died to the lvl 26 Taurenbane...

Now i play a Priest, just dinged 44!

Yep there was a clip in DM and one in LBRS which I unfortunately couldn't find. Bug or not, it is a hilarious way to go for a group of high-levels

That's surprising. You'd think Rogues would be one of the safer DPS for grouping up due to Vanish... I guess it depends on your playstyle.

It's funny, I played a Rogue too and had exactly this experience. Currently at level 34 and not planning on continuing which, while not strictly speaking a "death", is as good as one.

I've been avoiding the risky situations and I've ended up in a rut where I've mostly been sticking with safe mob grinds. That's ment no dungeons, no group quests, no elite mobs and taking things slowly and safely on the understanding that a single mistake can cost everything.

There's plenty of times where I'd be happier taking a few risks and trying to solo elites or go all in on a group of mobs with Blade Flurry. On a regular classic server I'd be seeing how far I can push the limits of the class and working out what risks I can take and which ones I shouldn't. That's a much more interesting experience than picking off isolated mobs and low risk quests.

As much as I love Roguelikes and will happily make risky plays in Dead Cells or Binding of Isaac, HC just has too much of a time investment to make that a worthwhile strategy. In those games you lose a couple of minutes of progress at best if you die or end up with a substantial reward if you survive which is going to make the rest of the run easier. HC is losing 20 hours of play time because a mob had a DoT and I couldn't vanish. The risk vs reward is completely off to make it engaging for me. I've simply got no interest in carrying on anymore.

Ultimately it's felt like HC rather than enhancing Classic has vastly diminished it.
